The League of Legends World Championship 2026 field is nearly complete. Eighteen of the 19 teams heading to North America have now secured their places, leaving only one final berth still undecided.
Korea and China will each send four teams, while Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region contribute three representatives apiece. LOS have already secured Brazil’s first spot, with LOUD and FURIA set to fight for the remaining CBLOL ticket.
Worlds 2026 begins in October and will take place across Los Angeles, Allen in Texas and Brooklyn, New York.
LCK Sends Four Major Contenders
The LCK will be represented by Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, T1 and Dplus KIA.
Gen.G enter Worlds as Korea’s top seed after winning the 2026 LCK title. Hanwha Life finished second domestically but had already strengthened Korea’s international position earlier in the season by winning the Mid-Season Invitational.
The confirmed LCK representatives are:
- Gen.G
- Hanwha Life Esports
- T1
- Dplus KIA
T1 once again arrive with significant expectations after winning the previous three editions of Worlds from 2023 through 2025.
A fourth consecutive championship would extend one of the most dominant runs in League of Legends history, although Korea’s other representatives arrive with strong domestic and international results of their own.
China Also Receives Four Worlds Spots
The LPL matches Korea with four representatives.
Anyone’s Legend, Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports and Invictus Gaming will represent China in North America.
BLG earned major international recognition this season after winning First Stand and later finishing second at MSI. Anyone’s Legend also strengthened its position by defeating BLG in the LPL Split 3 final.
The Chinese lineup includes several internationally experienced names, including JackeyLove, TheShy, Rookie and Tarzan.
With four teams each, the LCK and LPL once again form the largest regional blocks at Worlds 2026.
The additional slots reflect the results of MSI 2026, where Hanwha Life won the title and BLG finished runner-up.
Europe Sends G2, MKOI and Karmine Corp
Europe’s three Worlds representatives are G2 Esports, Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp.
G2 enter as the region’s leading seed and once again carry much of Europe’s international expectations. The roster continues to revolve around veteran mid laner Caps, who was inducted into the League of Legends Hall of Fame earlier this year.
Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp complete the LEC lineup.
| Region | Qualified teams | Slots |
|---|---|---|
| LCK | Gen.G, HLE, T1, DK | 4 |
| LPL | AL, BLG, TES, IG | 4 |
| LEC | G2, MKOI, KC | 3 |
| LCS | C9, TL, LYON | 3 |
| LCP | TSW, CFO, MVK | 3 |
| CBLOL | LOS + TBD | 2 |
The final Brazilian team remains the only missing name in the entire Worlds field.
LYON Take the Final LCS Ticket
North America’s representatives are Cloud9, Team Liquid and LYON.
Cloud9 and Liquid secured their Worlds places earlier in the playoffs, while LYON claimed the final North American ticket by defeating Shopify Rebellion 3-1.
The LCS lineup therefore contains:
- Cloud9
- Team Liquid
- LYON
- Three confirmed North American Worlds berths
The Asia-Pacific LCP will send Team Secret Whales, CTBC Flying Oyster and MVK Esports.
Together, the two regions account for six of the 19 places at the tournament.
LOUD and FURIA Fight for the Last Spot
Brazil is the only region where qualification is not complete.
LOS already secured one Worlds berth by defeating LOUD 3-2 in the upper-bracket final. That victory sent LOS directly into the CBLOL Grand Final and guaranteed the organization international competition.
LOUD now drop into the lower-bracket final, where they will face FURIA.
FURIA earned that opportunity after completing a 3-2 comeback against RED Canids. The winner of LOUD versus FURIA will secure Brazil’s second Worlds place and advance to the CBLOL Grand Final against LOS.
That match will complete the 19-team field.
Worlds 2026 Heads Across the United States
The 2026 World Championship returns to North America with events spread across three locations.
The tournament begins in Los Angeles before moving to Allen, Texas for the Swiss Stage and much of the knockout phase.
The final will then take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Nineteen teams will compete across the tournament, with the early Play-In stage determining which teams advance into the main Swiss competition.
The format places additional importance on regional seeding, particularly for teams entering the earliest stage of the tournament.
Assessment
With 18 teams already confirmed, the competitive picture for Worlds 2026 is almost complete.
The LCK and LPL once again arrive with the deepest representation, while Europe and North America each send three teams looking to challenge the established Asian regions.
Several major storylines are already clear. T1 are chasing a fourth consecutive world title, Gen.G arrive as Korean champions, and BLG return after another strong international season.
The only unresolved question is Brazil’s second representative.
LOUD versus FURIA will determine the final participant and close the qualification phase. Once that series is complete, all 19 teams will be known and attention can fully shift toward the Worlds 2026 groupings, seeding and opening matches in North America.
