What Are Spirit Blossom Springs Skins?

The LoL Spirit Blossom Springs skins draw inspiration from traditional Japanese onsen culture. Onsens are natural hot springs that offer therapeutic benefits like muscle relaxation and stress relief. The Spirit Blossom skinline, which is much older and more extensive, is based on the region of Ionia which draws heavy inspiration from Asia. So, it makes sense that the new skin collection during the Ionia-focused season features another aspect of Japanese culture.

The recently released splash arts for the skinline perfectly captures the serene atmosphere Riot wants to bring to League of Legends. The skins themselves featured beautiful spa-themed designs with tranquil water effects and peaceful animations. Naturally, they were all also a bit revealing, suited for the steamy waters of the Spirit Blossom Springs.

The Spirit Blossom Springs collection includes seven champions. Five received Epic rarity skins priced at 1350 Riot Points (RP), including LoL’s newest champion, Yunara. Meanwhile, Aphelios is getting a Prestige version which needs a different type of in-game currency: Mythic Essence.

Ahri’s skins are even more special. Her “regular” skin is already Legendary tier, but she also gets a Mythic After Hours variant, which has a different color palette and a bolder, more sultry theme.

Release Date and Availability

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait long for the LoL Spirit Blossom Springs skins. They will launch on July 30, 2025, alongside Patch 25.15. However, players can already preview these skins on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) since July 15. Additionally, the new champion Yunara will receive her Spirit Blossom Springs skin earlier on July 16 with Patch 25.14.

How to Get the LoL Spirit Blossom Springs Skins

Players can obtain most LoL Spirit Blossom Springs Skins through direct purchase using Riot Points (RP) once they become available on July 30. However, some skins require special methods.

The Prestige Aphelios skin will be available at level 50 in the new Battle Pass, making it accessible through gameplay progression rather than direct purchase.

Meanwhile, the After Hours Ahri variant requires participation in Riot’s gacha system, where players need 40 gacha rolls to unlock this exclusive version.

Excited now? Well, buckle up for July 30 as it’s not only these skins that are coming your way. According to League of Legends’s roadmap, ARURF will finally return in Patch 25.15. That means players can already try out these new skins on the returning mode as soon as they get them. For players who enjoy events and story content more than combat, Riot has also prepared something exciting. There’s a dating simulator event similar to Spirit Bonds, although much more limited. This mode is unlocked after you progress through the Story Mode of the new “Battle of Koeshin” metagame released on July 16.
