League of Legends season 2023 has been underway for two weeks now, and usually, season starts tend to be a bit rough. So patch 13.2 arrives to tidy up some situations that the MOBA developer doesn’t seem to like.
Riot Games has taken the return from the vacation very seriously and is preparing a very busy LoL patch 13.2 to be released soon. This update introduces significant changes, especially in shooters and fighters. However, this does not mean that there will be no day-to-day changes. For example, the strongest champions in this early season will be heavily nerfed, and the order inside the rift will change abruptly.
LoL Patch 13.2 Preview
As usual, Matt “Riot Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison posted the preview notes for LoL patch 13.2, which will hit the game on January 24.
In a Twitter post, Riot Phroxzon commented:
“This patch, we’re shaking up a lot of different systems; fighter items, ADC satisfaction adjustments, and adjustments to make Grievous Wounds more impactful as a reactionary purchase. We’re making pre-emptive nerfs to champs that will become OP from Crit changes (Kindred, GP).”

In addition to this significant patch, there will be a nerf to an item that has been a hit in SoloQs, the Demonic Embrace for melee champions. Phroxzon explains that the Demonic Embrace has been a secondary OP item for a long time, but now it is becoming one of the items that many players are betting on to rush as their first item.
We also have significant changes to the meta-dominators on the champion side. Maokai, Yuumi, Lucian, Nami, and Heimerdinger will see their potential significantly reduced as well as champions that have dominated SoloQ, such as Kassadin, Kindred and Udyr. Finally, Jax will receive new adjustments to his visual and sound effects after the community’s dissatisfaction. The minirework that Jax received has not been one of Riot Games’ most significant successes, and it is already aware of it.
Finally, Riot Phroxzon notes that Radiant Virtue is being closely monitored to turn it into a melee alternative at some point in the future.
Now without further ado, here are all the details of LoL Patch 13.2
