Logitech x Shroud: Special Edition Peripherals Announced

Logitech and Shroud are a match made in heaven. If you’re a fan of both, however, you’re in for a surprise. The legendary peripheral company has just announced a special edition of their G Pro line of products that are styled in the colors of one of the most popular streamers in the world!

Generally speaking, these “special edition” deals often don’t attract a lot of attention. They’re mostly either unattractive from a visual standpoint, or they just don’t move the needle in terms of aesthetics. Fortunately, the Shroud Edition from Logitech seems like a pretty darn good makeover!

Logitech has wisely decided to combine their most powerful (and most expensive) products with the branding of one of the world’s leading streamers. The Logitech Shroud Edition series will include the following: Logitech G Pro Wireless mouse; Pro X Wireless gaming headset; Pro X Keyboard (with Logitech’s GX Red linear switches), and the G840 XL gaming mousepad.

In terms of visuals, not a lot has changed, and that’s good. Logitech’s products are streamlined and beautiful, freed of any unnecessary design cues and over-the-top RGB. They’re simple and aesthetically pleasing. The old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” certainly comes to mind.

Finally, they have some of the best peripherals in the world. Their products are used by the most recognizable esports athletes out there, and with good reason. They might be wireless, but they perform as well as wired peripherals, and that’s quite an achievement! That’s always been a pet peeve of many gamers — the fact that they would lose in performance by eliminating a physical connection between their gear and computers. This, however, hasn’t been the case for years. Logitech spearheaded the revolution, and now they’re reaping the rewards. Their wireless Lightspeed products are insanely precise and are the go-to mice and keyboards of many pro players and streamers.

A partnership between Shroud and Logitech makes all the sense in the world. Unfortunately, these peripherals won’t come cheap, but at least they offer unparalleled performance. If you can stomach the high asking price, they’re well worth it!
