- While there are many clear picks, fiery competitions are still on for other teams as this seeding will determine their chances at the ultimate LoL esports glory.
The road to the Summoner’s Cup is heating up. From October 14 to November 9, 2025 the world’s top League of Legends teams will battle it out in the LoL World Championship 2025. This year’s biggest LoL esports event takes place in China, featuring a record-breaking $5M prize pool. With the new tournament format, determining the LoL Worlds 2025 seeds will be a bit different from last year’s system.
Total Seeds and Regional Breakdown
Worlds 2025 will feature 17 total seeds distributed across the globe. Here’s how the spots are divided:
- LCK (South Korea) – 4 seeds
- LPL (China) – 4 seeds
- LEC (EMEA) – 3 seeds
- LTA North (North America) – 2 seeds
- LTA South (Latin America South) – 1 seed
- LCP (Pacific) – 3 seeds
LCK and LPL were granted an extra seed based on the regions’ MSI representatives’ performances. LCK’s Gen.G and T1 earned the first and second place respectively, while LPL’s AL and BLG took the third and fourth spots.
South Korea (LCK)
The LCK remains one of the most dominant regions, and its top three seeds are almost guaranteed. T1, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) have consistently outperformed the rest of the league. Not to mention, Gen.G has already secured their slot through their MSI 2025 win and will head straight to the Swiss Stage.
The fourth seed is still up for grabs (KT Rolster and Dplus KIA are the strongest contenders), but whoever claims it will face a tough Play-In battle against the LPL’s fourth seed.
China (LPL)
Predicting the LoL Worlds 2025 seeds from the LPL is challenging. Its depth of talent and fluctuating forms from all teams make it so that an upset can always happen.
However, current form favors Bilibili Gaming (BLG) and Top Esports (TES) as the top two seeds. Invictus Gaming (IG) has also made huge strides this season, showing improved team synergy. The last spot will likely go to Anyone’s Legend (AL), JD Gaming, or Weibo Gaming, with AL slightly favored thanks to consistent results and strong leadership.
EMEA (LEC)
The LEC has been dominated by Karmine Corp and Movistar KOI this year, both showing high peaks throughout the season. The third seed will likely be either G2 Esports or Fnatic, with the latter’s recent roster changes reigniting playoff hopes. With only three slots available, one of Europe’s giants will unfortunately miss out on Worlds.
Americas (LTA)
From LTA North, FlyQuest and Cloud9 are strong contenders for the top two LoL Worlds 2025 seeds. Meanwhile, the third seed is reserved for an LTA South team.
In South America, RED Canids, paiN Gaming, and FURIA are battling for that spot, with each having experience at international tournaments like MSI and the Esports World Cup. The LTA Championship format guarantees one Southern representative in China.
Pacific (LCP)
The Pacific region is led by CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO), which could make history by qualifying for all three global events in a single year. Behind them, GAM Esports, Team Secret Whales, and PSG Talon are in contention. Based on current form, the Vietnamese teams—especially GAM—are favored to secure the second seed.
Conclusion
This year’s Worlds is shaping up to be one of the most competitive yet. Eastern powerhouses like the LCK and LPL are sending their usual heavy hitters, while Western regions face the challenge of fewer spots and fiercer competition. The LoL Worlds 2025 seeds reflect months of hard work, and as the tournament kicks off, every team will be looking to prove they belong on the world stage.
