Tournament Format and Structure
The LoL EWC 2025 adopts a two-stage format. Not every team starts on the same level, as 4 of them are already qualified directly for the Playoffs. Meanwhile, 8 teams still have to clash in the Group Stage.
1. Group Stage (July 16–17)
- Eight teams
- Two groups of four teams each
- GSL double-elimination format
- All matches are best-of-one
- Only the top two teams from each group advance to the Playoffs (total of 4)
3. Playoffs (July 17–20)
- Eight teams (4 direct seeds + 4 Group Stage qualifiers)
- single-elimination bracket
- Quarterfinals and Semifinals matches are best-of-three
- Grand Final match extends to a best-of-five format

The LoL EWC 2025 primarily features teams who have made it to MSI 2025. The MSI 2025 top 4 teams are automatically given a spot in the Playoffs. Meanwhile, two additional teams from LCK and LTA are joining the MSI bottom 6 teams in the Group Stage.

Prize Pool and Distribution
LoL EWC 2025 has a total of $2,000,000 USD prize pool. From this, the champions will take home $600,000 USD and 1,000 EWC Club Points. Meanwhile, here’s a breakdown of how the remaining prizes will be distributed among teams.
- 2nd Placer – $320,000 USD + 750 Club Points
- 3rd Placer – $230,000 USD + 500 Club Points
- 4th Placer – $160,000 USD + 300 Club Points
- 5th-8th Placers – $110,000 USD + 200 Club Points
- 9th-10th Placers – $75,000 USD
- 11th-12th Placers – $50,000 USD
EWC Club Points contribute to an organization’s overall points gained across every title they participate in. They gain points by finishing within the top 8 of an event. By the end of EWC 2025, these Club Points will be calculated. EWC 2025 will reward the top 16 organizations with the most points from a $27,000,000 prize pool.
