The South Korean League of Legends (LoL) esports scene is coming alive with celebrations of its most outstanding players and personalities. To truly end the season that the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) has dominated, the LCK Awards 2024 will be here soon!
1,000 live audience will be attending the ceremony on December 29, 2024. Meanwhile, overseas fans can watch through the official LCK YouTube channel, starting at 5PM KST.
Celebrating LCK 2024’s Greatest
The prestigious LCK Awards 2024 is the fourth edition of this annual awards event, to be held this coming December 29. It will gather LCK teams and professionals to witness the recognition of the league’s brightest stars this year. The ceremony will take place at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Hall 1 in Seoul.
Various categories of awards will be given, including recognitions for the most outstanding players in each role (top, jungler, midlaner, bottom/adc, support). In addition, awards will be also given to teams, coaches, and other notable LCK personalities for contributing to the extraordinary year the LCK has had.
Award Nominations and Categories
Quite unsurprisingly, the lineup of nominees for the role-based awards consist of players from only three LCK teams.
Gen.G Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, and T1 all have earned their places at the top of the LCK 2024 scoreboard. Each team as a whole and their individual players all performed greatly this year, making the battle for the awards very intense.

Close Competitions
Largely thanks to these three teams, the year has been a remarkable one for the LCK and its fans. It’s also why each team has strong cases for recognition, making guesses for who will be given the awards more difficult.
Gen. G
Gen.G Esports owned the Spring Split and MSI 2024, making history by securing their fourth consecutive Spring Championship with the win. This feat is particularly important as no other team has ever achieved it before, earning them the title of “Domestic Kings” or “LCK Kings”.
Their MSI trophy is also a major win, as it brought back the title to the LCK after seven years. The LCK “superteam” looked ready to win more, with eyes on the LCK Summer Championship and Worlds 2024 victories.
HLE
The team to cut through their majestic “Golden Road”? Hanwha Life Esports, who turned the tables on their LCK rivals at the most crucial match.
HLE, for the first time ever since joining the league in 2018, clinched an LCK Summer Championship trophy, and did it in the best possible way. Through a truly dominant comeback, they snatched victory from the hands of Gen.G, and went into Worlds 2024 with impressive performances.
T1
When we’re talking Worlds, though, everything seems to always lead to T1, who had already claimed the tournament as their “home ground”. After a rough domestic run and their first and only losing match at the Swiss Stage, T1 basically turned into undefeatable titans.
Their magnificent Worlds 2024 performance brought them their fifth Summoner’s Cup, solidifying their place as legends in the scene. Of course, that’s qualification enough to have them as LCK Awards 2024 nominees, too.
Conclusion
The LCK Awards 2024 will truly bring a grand ending to the competitive League of Legends season. From domestic dominance to Worlds spectacles, teams from this empire of a league never fail to impress. It’s only fitting that their skills that bring renown to the LCK be recognized and honored.
We can also look forward to the exciting changes in the 2025 season ahead. The format changes in particular may give way to new stars. Surely, it will be another season of achievements to celebrate!
