Whether you are from any team or you like one videogame more than another, it is impossible not to be affected by the passing of a great professional in VALORANT such as Lara Gilardoni, or as she was popularly known as “Larischz.”

The esports scene in Latin America and worldwide is mourning after the surprise death of Argentinean player Lara “Larischz” Gilardoni was confirmed. Larischz, until recently, was actively playing for the DELIRA team.

Death of “Larischz”, Argentine VALORANT player

Before 2022 ended, precisely on December 30, the Latin American esports community began to share the sad news of Larischz’s passing.

Let’s remember that Larischz was part of several professional teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and, more recently, in VALORANT. In addition, she was one of the active members of the DELIRA team.

So far, the cause of death of 27-year-old Lara “Larischz” Gilardoni is unknown; it is only known that she was vacationing in Pinamar, a coastal city in Argentina, where the unfortunate event would have occurred.

About Larischz

The Argentinean was part of several Brazilian Game Changers circuit teams throughout her career. Most recently, she competed under the DELIRA Female banner, which played its last tournament on October 29.

In this tournament, Larischz was one of the team’s mainstays in taking first place and nearly $2,500 in prize money. Larischz was instrumental in the team’s success and played with agents such as Killjoy, Omen, Cypher, and Brimstone.

Larischz played the VCT 2022: Game Changers Brazil Series Two, which was played last October. DELIRA finished in the top six of the tournaments after suffering a loss to Gamelanders Purple in the quarterfinals of the Upper Bracket and then falling in the semifinals of the Lower Bracket to B4 Angels.

Before joining DELIRA, Larischz played with one of Brazil’s most successful VALORANT organizations, Keyd Stars. This team christened Keyd Stars Athenas, also managed to finish among the top six teams in the Protocol tournament: Evolução.

Larischz was the type of player who came up big when her team needed her most. It didn’t matter if they were down on the scoreboard or if her teammates were down on their luck; she managed to win spectacular rounds to lift her teammates’ spirits.

Community shocked by Larischz’s death

Since the news was communicated, the competitive scene has not stopped posting condolences and memories about Larischz.

As we mentioned, this great player made her way in the competitions representing Brazilian teams such as Keyd Stars and Stars Horizon Venus.
