Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has unveiled his very own Esports organization, which will be known as KRU Esports. The Argentine has been named as CEO and founder, with Aguero having become a popular streamer on Twitch during a recent spell on the sidelines due to injury.
Aguero featured heavily on the KRU Esports reveal trailer, with the organization expected to compete in League of Legends, Rocket League, Fortnite and, of course, FIFA. The trailer also eluded to the organization having bases in South America, North America and Europe.
Why More & More Soccer Stars are Joining Esports
Aguero is following in the footsteps of several other soccer players who have involved themselves in the Esports industry, with new Tottenham Hotspur attacker Gareth Bale, Chelsea’s Spanish defender Cesar Azpilicueta and England legend David Beckham having all jumped on the bandwagon over recent times.

When Can We Expect to Learn More About KRU Esports?
Meanwhile, the following statement demonstrates how KRU Esports will work in terms of their operations in different regions:
“With a company incorporated in Argentina and another in Barcelona, KRÜ will seek to be a bridge between the different regions, motivating to have no ceiling in terms of the goals that each one sets for himself.”
A timer featuring on the KRU Esports homepage makes it clear as to when more information surrounding the organization will be delivered.
Based on this, we can expect to find out more in the middle of next month. The announcement is expected to increase the exposure on Esports in South America, Argentina in particular, however the status of Sergio Aguero means that this will be worldwide news. We wait patiently to see just what is next for KRU and whether they will go as gung-ho as Guild Esports, the organization in which Beckham invested heavily in.
