Karmine Corp has recently opened up about its partnership with France’s Arènes de l’Agora, also known as Les Arènes, to become its new resident esports arena.
In a video released last May 26th by Karmine Corp founder Kamel “Kameto” Kebir, the organization showed the world how they plan to utilize Les Arènes to host its esports matches.
The said venue, expected to be used by Karmine Corp for live matches and viewing parties, can seat up to 3,000 spectators. It is located in Evry, an hour-long drive away from Paris, the French capital.
The arena, originally constructed in 1975, is a mixed-use facility which can be used for shows, concerts, as well as theater, music, and dance productions.
“The Arènes de l’Agora hosts several variety shows every year, as well as major sporting events (International Dance Sport Tournament, Euro Essonne Basketball, Marrane HandBall Challenge),” venue operators said on the Les Arènes website.
Esports Insider reported that Karmine Corp is eyeing to ramp up the number of esports events it will hold in the venue as the years pass by, with the long-term goal of opening season pass tickets similar to those used by traditional sports clubs. This will allow fans to watch all matches over a competitive season at Les Arènes.
The organization has been holding events in stadiums since being part of the French LFL, a tier-two League of Legends league held in France.
“Now a part of the tier one LEC since 2023, there had been some fear that becoming part of the larger Riot Games-sanctioned league would mean that there were more restrictions on the types of events KCorp could host. However, Riot subsequently began to open up teams’ availability for third-party events such as the Red Bull League of Its Own and the upcoming Esports World Cup,” Esports Insider reported.
