K/DA Event is Now Live in Legends of Runeterra!

The long-awaited K/DA event is now live across the entire Riot game ecosystem, including Legends of Runeterra! It might not be to everyone’s taste, but at least we’re getting a bit of free stuff! Each player will be able to unlock a free event pass that’ll come with six brand-new cards, but more on that below.

As with any other seasonal in-game event, this one comes with new card backs, icons, Guardians, and emotes! If you’re into that sort of stuff, make sure to prepare your wallet as they don’t come cheap!

Legends of Runeterra K/DA Cards

Five entirely new cards have been created to commemorate the event and they’re perhaps bit stronger than one would expect. In other words, they’re not here just for show.

“Give it All” is an 8 mana Slow spell from Piltover and Zaun. Upon playing it, it’ll raise the Power and Health of all your allies to the highest Power or Health among them. They’ll also share all allied keywords. This, in short, is an absolutely insane effect but at least it’s appropriately priced mana-wise. All you need to reap its benefits is to have at least one very strong unit, and the rest of them will share its power.

“Go Hard” is a 1 mana Slow spell from Shadow Isles. It’ll drain 1 from a unit and then shuffle two copies of itself into your deck. Once you’ve cast this spell three times, it’ll transform all copies of it everywhere into “Pack Your Bags.”

“Pack Your Bags” is a 1 mana Slow spell that’ll deal 5 damage to all enemies and the enemy Nexus. It’ll then transform all copies of itself everywhere back to “Go Hard.” Overall, an interesting mechanic but it almost surely won’t see much play because it’s pretty hard to pull off. In other words, the payoff isn’t there. Then again, it might be a nice niche strat. Time will tell.

“Out of the Way” is a 5 mana Slow spell from Targon. It’ll make all of your buffs (other than Barrier) permanent for the rest of the game and will also allow you to draw a card. This effect is absolutely huge and it’ll definitely find its place in today’s Targon-heavy meta. Heck, it might be a bit too strong.

“Go Get It” is a 5 mana Fast spell from Ionia. It’ll allow you to recall an ally and then summon an exact Ephemeral copy in its place and reduce its cost to zero. A nifty little spell for sure, although its mana cost might be a bit too high.

“Feel the Rush” is a 12 mana (you’ve read that right) Slow spell that’ll summon two different, random champions from your hand and deck and then raise their stats up to 10 | 10. Absolutely bonkers and a total game-changer. Granted, its effectiveness will heavily depend on a number of different factors (most of which aren’t in your control), but it’s undeniably a card that carries a ton of game-changing potential.

K/DA Event Pass

You can pick up the K/DA ALL OUT event pass for 975 coins and therefore unlock a premium event path. Doing so will automatically grant you the brand-new Stella Guardian as well! Fortunately, any games you play (regardless of type) will count towards event quests.

The event itself will last up until November 24th, so make sure to log in and queue up to unlock those oh-so-alluring rewards! Finally, to go over everything in a more official manner, you can check out Riot’s website!
