The Turkish team that surprised a lot at the beginning of the year 2023 has made the second change in its starting lineup in the last two weeks. This time, Ömer “imoRR” Karataş, the 23-year-old Turkish player, leaves the team’s starting lineup to change his role to the content creator within the organization.

Eternal Fire performed very well in several tournaments earlier this year and even lifted the champions trophy at the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, beating BNE 2-1 in the grand final. However, after failing to qualify for the Paris Major and being eliminated from the Brazy Party in the Group Stage, the organization has decided to make changes for the rest of the season.

Eternal Fire announce that imoRR is leaving the team’s lineup to become a content creator

Through an announcement on Twitter, the Turkish organization Eternal Fire announced that Ömer “imoRR” Karataş is not part of the team’s starting lineup. In addition, it was confirmed that the AWPer will now move into the role of content creator for the organization.

Now, imoRR’s departure from the team’s lineup marks Eternal Fire’s second roster move in two weeks. Recall that, last April 24, the organization decided to send Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç to the bench and, in his place, promoted Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın from the Academy team.

About imoRR

Ömer “imoRR” Karataş is a 23-year-old Turkish player competing professionally in CS:GO since 2017. However, his best years began when he joined Eternal Fire in August 2021 as part of the organization’s first CS:GO lineup. Throughout this time, imoRR has been the second-best player on the team with a 1.07 Rating, according to HLTV. As expected, the only one to beat him in the lineup is Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş (1.26), who, for many, is the best Turkish player in CS:GO history.

imoRR showed great potential in different tournaments, but Eternal Fire failed to surpass the expectations raised in the last two months. Besides their victory at the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals, the team failed to lift another trophy in almost three months. This considers that they participated in Tier B, A, and S tournaments.

Eternal Fire fell apart after winning in Malta

After their grand final victory over BNE in Malta in February, Eternal Fire’s performance went into free fall. In the ESL Pro League S17, the team finished in last place, while in the Paris Major RMR Europe B, they finished in 12th-14th place.

Now, the team needs to prepare as well as possible for their next challenge in the BetBoom Playlist Freedom. The Turkish team was invited to this tournament, featuring teams such as BNE, forZe, SAW, 00 Nation, Sprout, and academies of other big organizations.

The current lineup of Eternal Fire is as follows:

  • Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş
  • Buğra “Calyx” Arkın
  • Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli
  • Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın
  • Sezgin “Fabre” Kalaycı – Head Coach
