Asian organization IHC Esports claims that they continue to be involved in CS:GO and other esports disciplines, despite the recent arrests of three of their founders over the cryptocurrency of the same name. A statement explained that many people in the organization have nothing to do with the current incidents.

The organization denied “misleading information” in a statement on Twitter, stating that “all of their stakeholders are fully committed to safeguarding the integrity of the club and protecting the interests of the parties involved.”

IHC and the rumors of crypto scams

IHC created a cryptocurrency and it’s not doing very well. The coin took a huge tumble some time ago and according to multiple reports, the founders of the IHC currency were involved in money laundering and market manipulation. Recently, the three founding members of the IHC cryptocurrency were arrested. This has raised concerns about the future of the CS:GO team and many are wondering if it can continue. However, IHC’s esports department says that “certain individuals are not involved in its management and operations.”

Dave Lee, Chairman of IHC Esports, has released a statement on the precarious situation, stating the following:

“The management of IHC Esports would like to adress the recent events and express our deep regret for the dissemination of misleading information concerning our organization. This malicious act has caused significant harm to our team and impacted their well-being. Despite these challenging circumstances, we remain unwavering to our mission and vow to compete with honor and distinction in all future endeavors.”

“We would like to categorically state that certain individuals have no involvement with our management and operations and we deny these allegations in the strongest possible terms.”

“The spread of misleading information has not only affected our team’s morale but also threatened the stability of our operations. We would like to assure all stakeholders that we are fully committed to safeguarding the integrity of our organization and protecting the interests of all parties involved.”

The surprise run at IEM Katowice

IHC is the hot topic right now, having gone from underdog to favorite after knocking out several high-profile names at this year’s IEM Katowice. With victories against Cloud9 and FURIA, they reached number 21 in the HLTV rankings, a record for the Mongolian scene, which hadn’t gained much attention before. Unfortunately, negative news came immediately afterwards and the successes at IEM were clouded again by reports of crypto fraud from the founders.
