Before the CS:GO competitive scene transitions to Counter-Strike 2, some top-level events will still be played before the end of the 2023 season. Starting next Monday, May 29, 2023, IEM Dallas 2023 will kick off, and we will participate in 16 of the best teams in the world, fighting for a prize pool of $250,000 and qualification for IEM Cologne 2023.

While it is true that teams like NaVi and Virtus.pro, who were called to be protagonists of this tournament, will not be able to participate due to problems with the visa of some players, we will have G2 Esports, Heroic, FaZe, and many more. As a result, really exciting matches are expected from start to finish, and the reality is that we can’t miss this tournament for anything in the world.

A few days ago, Team Vitality managed to lift the title of champions of the BLAST.tv Paris Major is the last Valve-sponsored event in the CS:GO era. Moreover, the next Major will be played in March 2024, hosted by PGL in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will be played on CS2. However, before that, we will still enjoy several international CS:GO tournaments.

Talking about favoritism after we witnessed so many surprises at the Paris Major a few weeks ago might be somewhat counterproductive. However, we can’t overlook the fact that teams like Heroic, G2 Esports, and FaZe Clan may be the ones who have this label of favorites before the tournament starts.
