The Feed Bag is crafted at a Farmer’s Workbench using 10 Wheat, 5 of any Vegetable, 5 of any Fruit, and 10 Essence of Life. It signals to smaller prey animals that you mean no harm when used.

With a Feed Bag equipped in your hand, smaller and younger animals will stop fleeing as you approach. Hearts appearing above an animal’s head confirm that the Feed Bag is working and the creature feels comfortable in your presence.

For players wanting to physically transport small animals like rabbits, chicks, and piglets to a farm location, the Capture Box provides a direct solution. Unlocking the recipe requires upgrading any Farmer’s Workbench to Level 2 using 50 Essence of Life, 5 Wheat, 5 Lettuce, and 5 Softwood Trunks.

Once crafted, using the Capture Crate is intuitive. Hold the box in your hand, aim at any small critter, then press the Left Mouse Button to trap the animal inside. The creature becomes contained within the box. It will allow you to carry it safely to your farm without chasing it across the landscape.
