Apex Legends’ Season 26 features one of the coolest cosmetics ever: The Mythic Flatline. The Mythic Flatline isn’t just a reskin of the classic VK-47 Flatline it’s a cosmetic that combines Fuse and Rampart’s aesthetic styling and artistry and offers new effects & mechanics.
If you’re a Flatline main or a collector, this mythic cosmetic will be one of the rarest cosmetics in the game. Here’s everything you need to know about what it is, how to unlock it, and tips for getting it.
What is the Mythic Flatline?
The Mythical Flatline is a special cosmetic version of the VK-47 Flatline rifle that was released with the Wild Iron Event in Season 26 (September 2025).

- The Mythic Flatline has a design inspired by Fuse and Rampart, giving it an industrial look with explosive flair.
- There is also an inspection animation that acts as a flair to showcase the weapon while playing the game.
- The rifle includes both visuals and gameplay, by the following means: knocked enemies may have a short-time appearance as “time bombs”; and every fifth fired bullet from the rifle releases a cosmetic area-of-effect blast.
- Important note: these features are visual/gameplay related only. Some players have interpreted the visual/gameplay features as distracting or flashy, so consider if you will have a challenge if they would limit your visibility prior to obtaining it.
How to Unlock the Mythic Flatline
There are two ways to get the Mythic Flatline either during the Wild Iron event or find it later on in the Heirloom Store.
Wild Iron Event Packs (September 16–30, 2025)

- As most players are aware the main way to unlock the Mythic Flatline will be by buying event packs during the Wild Iron event and also if you collect the iron shards.
- Each event pack has: 1 event item (no duplicates), 2 standard Apex items.
- A free pack is given to all players when the event starts.
- More packs can be earned by completing event challenges or buying packs in the store.
- After the event ends, packs will not be available.
- Since the Mythic Flatline is in the event’s loot pool, you need to open event packs until you unlock it.
Heirloom / Mythic Store
If you miss the Mythic Flatline during the event, you can still get it later
- After the event, the weapon moves to the Heirloom (Mythic) Store.
- It can be purchased using Mythic Shards, a rare currency mainly gotten by opening Apex Packs or through special rewards.
- Store availability may rotate, so check back if it’s not there immediately.
The Mythic Flatline is not just another skin, it’s a cosmetic featuring unique animations, enormous visual flair, and strong connections to Fuse and Rampart’s personalities. If you play through the charged-up Wild Iron Event or bank some Mythic Shards for the future, it’s an item worth the pursuit if you are a Flatline fan.
Unlocking it may take some time, luck, or resources, but once it is a part of your collection it’s one of the more compelling cosmetics in Apex Legends.
