Kalea is MLBB’s 128th hero, following the recently released Lukas who is a Fighter/Assassin. Kalea also adds to the number of Fighter heroes in the game, as her roles are Fighter and Support.
Her strong crowd control skills and healing abilities make her a viable Support. Meanwhile, she’s also a formidable fighter due to her high mobility and AOE damage.
Kalea is most suited to the EXP Lane, where heroes rely on levelling up faster than others, initiating turret pushes, and going to the frontline in teamfights. However, her supportive abilities can help her in the Roaming position as well.
Kalea will have the basic hero cost of 32,000 Battle Points (BP) or 599 diamonds. Her abilities are considered high difficulty and would likely be tough to master. Let’s take a look at her skills, and you can be the judge.

- Passive: Surge of Life
Kalea will create a Water Zone on the ground after casting a skill. This can be absorbed in her next skill cast to enhance her next three Basic Attacks.
She will get different effects for each one, with the first Basic Attack dashing and dealing Physical Damage. The second one also deals Physical Damage but additionally heals her and nearby allies. Her third Basic Attack will deal greater Physical Damage and create a new Water Zone.
- Skill 1: Wavebreaker
Her first skill is an AOE attack that deals Physical Damage to enemies. This will have a 4-second cooldown across all levels and her priority upgrade in the laning phase to poke the enemy laner.
- Skill 2: Tidal Strike
Kalea’s Tidal Strike is her main Crowd Control and Mobility skill in one. She can use this to dash toward a single enemy hero, knock them airborne, and damage them. This skill’s initial cooldown is 13 seconds, shortened by 0.4 seconds for every level until Level 6 onwards, where it will stay at 11 seconds.
When she doesn’t hit any enemies, this skill will perform a basic dash. However, if she hits obstacles like walls or the edge of a Water Zone, she will leap into the air for a few seconds and the player can target an area where she will land.
- Skill 3/Ultimate: Tsunami Slam
With her Ultimate, Kalea will grab an enemy hero with her tail and drag them with her. The player can select a target area for repositioning while Kalea is in the air before she slams the enemy hero back down. This will deal a massive amount of Physical Damage to the target hero and all nearby enemies.
At Level 1, Tsunami Slam will have a 55-second cooldown and 300 Base Damage. At Level 3 onwards, the cooldown will be 45 seconds and her Base Damage will be 500.
Playstyles for Kalea in MLBB
As a Fighter/Support hero, Kalea excels at mobility and crowd control which will be ideal for initiating or turning around many teamfights. A more aggressive playstyle will suit her as her skillset enables her to dish out damage with a bit of sustain from her Surge of Life passive. She also has many escape options with her Skill 2 dash and repositioning.
During the laning phase, Kalea can harass her opponents with constant poke from her Skill 1. When she unlocks Skill 2, she can play a bit more aggressively but with careful attention to timing. Without her dash, she can easily be ganked or chased down.
Kalea will have a key role in initiating winnable fights or disrupting enemies to let her teammates flee in Mobile Legends. This is important especially in the mid to late game where most of the teamfights happen.
