How to join the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta early

Although still two months away from launch, Activision is letting you play their latest offering, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as of right now. With one of the two planned Betas already ongoing, get ahead of the curve and secure your spot in the Open Beta that’s set to begin on September 6th, running until September 9th, 2024.

The much-awaited latest installment in the long-running Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is just a couple of weeks away, and so to give us a taste of what’s in store, Activision has launched the Beta on all platforms starting August 30th, 2024. The Beta has two phases, the first being early access, which began on August 30th and will end on September 4th, and the second being the Open Beta, which will begin on September 6th and end on September 9th.

How do I play the Beta right now?

For players who want to play the game as soon as possible, you’ll need to preorder the game first to get the Beta in early access. You can do this by digitally preordering it from any digital store of your choosing or preordering a physical copy, which will get you a Beta code from the retailer. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also be granted early access to the game. The game has two editions, the Standard Edition and the Vault Edition.

If you don’t want to preorder the game, you can still gain access to the Beta at a later date. The Open Beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 begins on September 6th and ends on September 9th. You should keep in mind that the Beta features some rewards, with some rewards being limited to the first weekend only.

What to expect in the Black Ops 6 Beta?

The following are the gameplay features you will find in the Beta for Black Ops 6:

  • Six Game Modes: Hardpoint, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Order, Face Off Kill Confirmed, Face Off Team Deathmatch
  • Six Maps: Rewind, Scud, Skyline, Derelict, Gala, Pit
  • Training Course: Mode to familiarize yourself with the new Omnimovement system as well as other enhancements to the game
  • Level cap (lvl 20): Player level is limited to a max of 20 and will be adjusted to 30 in the second game week.
  • Cross Play: Cross-platform gaming

Rewards in the Black Ops 6 Beta

Black Ops 6 Beta features rewards you can carry into the main game, with all of them unlocking once you hit the max level (level 30). Some Rewards are limited to specific weekends in the Beta, so it’s preferred to get access to both so as to obtain all of them. The rewards are as follows:

  • Level 2: “Beta Tester” Animated Emblem
  • Level 6: “Beta Tag” Spray
  • Level 11: “No Bugs” Weapon Charm
  • Level 15: “Quick Draw” Emote
  • Level 20: “Squish” Westpoint Operator Skin and Squash Westpoint Operator Skin
  • Level 23: “The Truth Lies” Loading Screen
  • Level 27: “Beta Expert” Animated Calling Card
  • Level 30: “Bug Smasher” Weapon Blueprint

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024, on all major platforms.
