Among all the skins that have been in Brawl Stars lately, Tokusatsu Colette stands out a bit more, mostly cause it blends Colette’s own quirky style with those dramatic effects you usually see in Japanese Tokusatsu shows. It first appeared during the “Battle for Katana Kingdom” season, which started around May 2025. And really quickly, people started talking about it because of how flashy and exclusive it looked.
The Tokusatsu Colette Challenge
Right now, the main way to get the Tokusatsu Colette skin without spending gems is through a special event called the “Tokusatsu Colette Challenge.” This in-game challenge is still running and will last only for a limited time, from June 5th until June 13th, 2025. Players need to win 12 matches on different maps, but you only get three lives total. If you lose all your tries, there’s still the option to buy extra attempts for 9 gems per try.
It’s known for being a pretty tough challenge, especially when someone’s playing solo. A few content creators online have already said that it can feel “nearly impossible with random teammates.” As of now, June 10, 2025, the challenge is still up and available. So, there’s a bit more time left if you’re planning to earn that skin for free — but you gotta finish it before June 13.

What Are Your Options After June 13th?
If the challenge ends and you didn’t get the skin, then the only way to get Tokusatsu Colette after June 13th will be by buying it directly from the in-game store. The skin is marked at 149 gems, which is about what Epic skins usually go for in Brawl Stars.
Supercell hasn’t said anything official yet about the skin returning again for free, but they do often bring back fan-favorite skins in the shop or in bundles. Considering it was tied with the Katana Kingdom theme back in May, there’s a fair chance it might come back later if similar events happen — although even then, it’s likely gonna be behind a paywall again.
Important Notes About Colette
Colette’s a bit different from your usual damage dealers. Her main attack, “Taxing Shot,” hits based on how much health the enemy has at that moment, which can really come in handy when dealing with high-HP enemies like tanks or the Heist Safe. Her Super move, “Time to Collect,” dashes her forward and back, and deals damage based on full enemy health, not current.
She got some decent buffs to her main attack during May 2025, which made her a bit stronger overall. But later on, her Hypercharge move called “Teen Spirit” was nerfed in a Ranked patch. Now it charges slower, the dash isn’t as fast anymore, and the shield is also weaker than before. These changes kinda shifted how players need to use her, so it’s good to keep that in mind if you’re planning to make the most out of her kit.
