With Overwatch season 2, the battle pass has changed drastically. One of the most important new features is the appearance of Ramattra, the new in-game tank. However, this guide will explain how to obtain Overwatch 2’s support hero Kiriko.

Kiriko is a ninja healer aided by the kitsune spirit and is considered one of the highest-level support heroes in the game thanks to her abilities.

To unlock Kiriko in Season 1 of Overwatch 2, it was necessary to purchase the premium Battlepass to access the character immediately. However, in Season 2, it is required to complete particular challenges or buy the hero in the in-game store.

How much does it cost to buy Kiriko?

This supporting character can be obtained from the in-game store for 900 Overwatch coins.

Players who wish to spend more money can also buy the starter pack, which includes the Kiriko character, the Athleisure skin, the safe victory poses, and the voice line.

How to unlock Kiriko

To unlock Kiriko, players must complete seven challenges throughout the second season of Overwatch 2 to obtain the character without spending money. These include winning several games and completing achievements within the practice mode using Kiriko.

These are the challenges players must complete to unlock Kiriko:

  • Get 35 wins in quick matches by choosing “all roles” or playing support heroes.
  • Get two critical kills with Kunai in practice mode using Kiriko.
  • Heal 250 damage with Kiriko in practice mode.
  • Use “Protection Suzu on two allied robots” protection simultaneously in practice mode using Kiriko.
  • Use Light Step to teleport to an allied robot through a wall in practice mode with Kiriko.
  • In practice mode, climb a wall while playing as Kiriko.
  • Use Kitsune Burst on two allied bots simultaneously in practice mode.

With these steps’ help, players can easily complete the challenges to unlock Kiriko.

To complete most of the challenges, it is necessary to go to the practice field by entering the player section of the main menu.

Kiriko is a charming character thanks to her powerful ultimate ability Kitsune Rush, which summons a fox spirit that runs forward and increases the movement speed, attack speed, and cooldown time of all teammates that follow it. However, her short-range kit allows a better performance of her top value in more stationary game situations.

It is unclear if the requirements for obtaining Kiriko will change in the next season or if this is already the default way after her release from the game’s battle pass.
