How To Find The Fortnite Snowball Launcher

The holiday season comes with Fortnite’s Winterfest event, a plethora of fun and exciting moments packed in Fortnite’s Chapter 3. There will be diverse new challenges, items and events for players to explore. This Winterfest Fortnite quest is an adventure like never seen before. The Winterfest has unleashed a great number of quests that rewards deeply satisfying experience to Fortnite players who can speed through Chapter 3 Season 1 Battle pass.

The Fortnite Winterfest event is already ongoing and players can look forward to different holiday-themed quests daily as the event runs. The Winterfest began on December 16 and will run till the end of January 6, 2022. Besides the plethora of daily quests, players can also visit the Cozy Lodge to receive a gift from Sergeant Winter. There are 14 presents in total to be worn including, an Emoticon, a Spray, an Emote, a Lobby Track, a Loading Screen, two Wraps, two Pickaxes, two Outfits, a Glider, a Contrail and a Banner.

Sergeant Winter will also offer a few new weapons from the armory, one of which is the iconic Snowball Launcher. So for the new Winterfest quests, players will have to damage enemies (50 damage) with this phenomenal Snowball Launcher. However, unlike other gifts, you can’t find this Snowball Launcher in just about any location on the Chapter 3 Fortnite map. Here’s how to actually find one for the quest and the XP boost it gives you upon completing your quest.

Why find the Snowball Launcher in Fornite for the Winterfest quest?

At the core, Snowball Launcher is a winter version of the Grenade Launcher which we have seen in previous Fortnite seasons. It’s one of the very rare weapons that you can only find in rare treasure chests, floor loots, or when it’s given out by Sergeant Winter from the back of his truck. However, to find the Snowball Launcher through floor loots is less likely. Players have to drop into areas with plenty of homes and buildings where they will find more treasure chests. But finding the chests will still be a random event as there are no guarantees. Players only have to keep searching until they find one.

A better tactic is seeking out players that may have one themselves. In this case, you can take down these players and take the gun away from them and then try to use it on someone else to complete the day’s quest. However, the downside is that the Snowball Launcher’s projectile speed is remarkably slow compared to other current weapons in the game. But then, it may take too long to get a Snowball Launcher and it may also be daunting to find someone to attack. You can, however, use the new Tent items to store the launcher for the next match where you will find more players.

How to use the Snowball Launcher

The snowball launcher also does not have so much of a bounce, so you have to aim wisely and land a shot within the vicinity of a player right off the bat. A good shot deals 50 damage. So you only need to land a single blow to complete the Fortnite quest. This phenomenal weapon is ideal for undermining complex cover put up in seconds when dealing with crafty enemies.

It is also a perfect structure-tumbler. You can also land crazy trickshots when you pair the Snowball Launcher with the Spider-Man web-shooters to increase its overall potential. Overall, you need to drop into a Fortnite match, seek golden presents, and search through as many treasure chests as possible for the Snowball Launcher.

Once you have completed the quest, you can earn XP towards the Battle Pass and will have to wait until the following day to find what the next Winterfest quest is.
