The new Fortnitemares event in Fortnite has featured the Mother of Thorn character after collaborating with Doja Cat in-game. The battle against the Mother of Thorns is for a limited time, and players must search for her to defeat her and get the amazing rewards, including the Mythic weapon. Where to Locate the Mother of Thorn

The Mother of Thorn does not simply spawn in one location. Rather, the Mother of Thorn randomly spawns in different Pumpkin Takeover locations across the island. Pumpkin Takeover places are indicated by a skull with a crown on the map. Commonly it will spawn in locations: west of Supernova Academy, in the center of Gourdy Gate, in the Pumpkin Pass, at Viney Shafts, and in the south of Ranger’s Ruin.
Rarely, the Mother of Thorn is also located just sitting on a foe of vines in Point of Interest locations, for example, Freaky Fields or if you are close enough to the outskirts of Supernova Academy. Be on the lookout for the mother of thorn’s throne as she can blend in with the environment.
How to Beat the Mother of Thorns
Although this battle seems scary, the Mother of Thorns is much more a mini-boss than a classic raid boss. Once you start the fight, she will hit you with her Mythic Thorn Ripper, a weapon which pulls and does significant burst damage at melee range. This means you do not want to get close.
Before you engage the fight, make sure you have medium-to-long-range weapons handy, and hide behind cover when she is throwing her ranged attacks at you. It is also extremely helpful to have other teammates as there will be others who might want to try to third-party the fight since she has rare loot drops.
When you defeat her, she drops the Mythic Thorn Ripper which a player can then use for their own powerful crowd control effects. There are instances where you may even be able to recruit her as an NPC and she will be there to fight for the rest of the match, but she can also be killed by enemies if you do not pay attention.
Tips and Rewards
Taking down the Mother of Thorns rewards players with the Mythic Thorn Ripper, and counts toward your Fortnitemares event quest progress to earn themed cosmetics and XP. Also, since she will spawn at rotating locations, checking all Pumpkin Takeovers in the match early on is a great way to locate her before other players.
