How to Farm Sensors Efficiently in Arc Raiders

fragster Ahsan Kabir 6. November 2025

In Arc Raiders, crafting and upgrade systems are among the mainstays of progress and survival in top-side operations. Some of the primary materials that go into crafting are sensors. Knowing how to farm Sensors reliably could mean the difference between resource gain and, more importantly, unlocking higher-tier gadgets and keys for better extract capabilities and tactical flexibility. This guide seeks to consolidate information on all viable methods for maximum efficiency.

Why Sensors Matter

Sensors are a mid-tier crafting material: they’re required to craft several of the most important items-a Hatch Key is three Sensor Parts, for example, plus an Advanced Electrical Component. As extraction is one of the most dangerous phases of the game, being able to craft Hatch Keys gives a much better chance of safe return. Therefore, Sensors aren’t just filler loot, but also strategic enablers.

Key Spawn Locations & Behaviour

Primary Buildings: Dam Battlegrounds Map

Control Tower building: most of the upper floors accessible via zipline generally have breachable lockers that spawn Sensors at reasonable rates.

Research & Administration building: in it, you’ll want to find “technological security containers” with a reasonable spawn rate.

Secondary Hotspot: The Buried City – Blue Gate Zone

Especially in the Buried City map, it is pointed out that the “Blue Gate” is a reliable zone for spawning Sensors. It requires much effort to search in this area, but it will spawn “plenty” of Sensors.

Behavioural Notes

Sensor placement is random; each session does not necessarily have a guaranteed deterministic placement.

They can show up in less-expected areas. It’s a good idea to scan the map for known hotspots, but be flexible enough to scan the containers and lockers in adjoining areas as well.

The better loot spawn usually comes with accessing higher floors since significantly fewer players land in such areas to contest initially.

Farming Strategy & Workflow

Loot Route Execution

Zip line directly to the top of the Control Tower and open every single locker in the tower systematically. If you’re using the R&A building, head into security containers first: security containers are the “core nodes” of Sensor spawns. Once the core nodes have been cleared of loot, hunt around the rooms and lockers that weren’t opened – the spawn is still random.

Extraction Consideration

Try not to over-loot past your carry capacity; the risk of losing loot is too great. A balanced load-out-enough to fight or extract-provides the best chance at survival. Once you have a few Sensors on you, that is, three or more, it’s better to start heading to ex fill rather than staying in looting high risk for little gains.

Usage & Workshop Crafting Prioritization

When back in the hub area, craft items from Sensors as soon as possible to avoid having to bring raw resources in. Crafting Hatch Keys rather than buying GPS saves you coins and gives you more independence.

Conclusion

Farming in Arc Raiders, much like in other games, is supposed to be purposeful resource gathering at hotspots of value and extraction, and in this case, smart crafting-not just wandering around aimlessly. Keeping that framework in mind, this is an opportunity to farm sensors that one should take full advantage of and integrate into their strategic approach to perform in the game in its entirety.
