With Version 3.7 of Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse has introduced a new kind of event called Snack Dash. For a change, this new event steps back from what combat-gacha usually represents in HSR. However, its new mechanics, reward structure, and layers of strategy make it one of the better live-event additions in this patch. This article will talk about how the event works and discuss the reward haul.

Unlock Conditions
You have to have the minimum Trailblaze Level of 21 or above to join Snack Dash. You also need to either complete the Trailblaze Continue mission “The Blue, When the Stars of Ingenuity Shine,” or enter the event through the Finality’s Vision function. This event is featured in the Version 3.7 Section that went live on Nov 5 2025; it will continue until Dec 15.
Core Gameplay Loop
Snack Dash does things a bit differently from other RPG battles, placing you in the position of spectator: you’ll choose a Creation (the racing contestant) and cheer it on in the obstacle-course race.
Key activities:
- Choose from one of four arena difficulties: Casual, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced
- Choose a creation to support based on the field mechanics (tiles, obstacles, etc.) and terrain.
- Use spectator resources to support your chosen Creation: Bounce-Bounce Snacks. Votes, stage effects, and arena items are considered.
- Collect Spectator Points that add to your overall reward progress.

Terrain, Mechanics & Strategy

The distinguishing feature of the event is its high dependency on terrain mechanics and the Creation ability. We’ll have, for instance, Slow Tiles, Slippery Tiles, Push Plates, Bumpers, Teleportation Pots, Conveyor Belts, and Bubbles, all these will have strong impacts on movement, positioning, and outcomes. Correspondingly, each of the Creations also has a unique ability which may counter specific hazards or exploit conditions. For example :
- Slow/Slippery tiles will not affect the abilities of Diviner Mochi.
- When hit by the Trash Bags, Trash Cake will receive a speed boost instead of getting stunned.
- Lucky Snack cancels operation of any mechanism, such as bumpers/push plates.
- The core advanced layer is picking the right Creation for the right field and using the right items, stage effects, and strategic support.
Arena Items & Stage Effects
Beyond choosing Creation, players can influence matches via:
Arena items, e.g., Trash Bag: stuns opposing Creations; Herta-V Signal Jammer: disables devices for 3 s; Universal Bait: draws Creations for 4 s. You utilize these to turn the race in the favor of your pick. Stage Effects: these are available if you are Intermediate or higher; after each competition, you decide on an effect that will alter the conditions of the next race. You must select one that will influence your backed Creation in a synergy.
Betting & Spectating Mechanics

You bet by consuming Bounce-Bounce Snacks to support a contestant. Payouts are based on the Creation you selected to support, the placement of the Creation and the payout variable. Newly designed Matches will have three parts. You might have to pick a different Creation for each part. Contestants that placed poorly in the first or second part will pay out the most if they place in the next part.
Reward Structure & Progression Value
- Snack Dash isn’t purely cosmetic; the rewards actually matter to core progression. The key rewards include:
- Stellar Jades, Tracks of Destiny, and Self-Modeling Resin are all considered high-value currencies in-game.
- Credits, Traveler’s Guides, Refined Aether, and Seedling of Manas are all useful currencies for normal progression loops.
- The Trailblaze Fashion “Garbdriver” is an exclusive cosmetic item you can earn by reaching the threshold of 16,000 Spectator Points.
Conclusion
Snack Dash, Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 3.7 event, manages to balance accessibility and deep strategy in this cleverly designed side event that will challenge players to analyse terrain, make choices strategically, allocate resources intentionally, and be a supporter, not a racer. It has quite a bit of currency reward and a restricted cosmetic, so it is worth participating in if you’re playing during the patch window.
