Honkai Star Rail 3.5 Update Release Date, New Characters, & More

The next part of Honkai Star Rail’s story is almost here, and honestly, it feels like one of the biggest ones yet. Amphoreus arc now goes deeper than before, taking players into olden times where hidden secrets, forgotten rulers, and a strange rising power start to show up quietly.

Some old faces are returnin’ too, but in completely different looks than before. With a few strong additions comin’ as well, this version will pull players into intense fights that really challenge how they build their team and think during battles.

Honkai Star Rail 3.5 New Characters: Hysilens and Cerydra

Version 3.5 will add two strong 5-star characters who both bring unique playstyles that could change how people approach combat.

Hysilens, who leads the knights of the holy city, is a Physical element and walks the Path of Nihility. She works best when paired with others using DoT tactics. When she casts her Ultimate, a field is created that causes all DoTs on enemies to make another DoT happen from her side. Also, enemies in that zone suffer reduced attack and defense stats. Her Skills also got chances to put random DoT effects, and make foes take more damage from all sources.

Then comes Imperator Cerydra, a Wind-type from the Harmony path, and ruler of ancient Okhema. She once started the first Flame-Chase Journey. Her Skill gives an ally a special buff called Military Merit, which keeps becoming stronger during the battle. It boosts attack, raises critical damage, and allows the buffed character to bypass resistance and sometimes repeat their Skill. Her Ultimate hits all foes and fills her special meter to help the team more later.

Also, the limited-time characters Kafka and Silver Wolf will be seen again in banners. Both of them have their own value in different squads and playstyles.

New Area, Boss Fight, and Events Enrich Version 3.5 Experience

A new location will be introduced, too, called Styxia, the City of Infinite Revelry. This shining city has hidden layers and becomes the ground for a major boss fight. Players will face Lygus, a strange enemy who switches between two forms, and his true nature slowly comes out as the fight continues.

Not just battles, though, events are coming back. One is Chrysos Maze Grand Restaurant, where Trailblazers run a restaurant in Aedes Elysiae. You cook food, serve fairies from the Membrance Maze, and upgrade the place to earn their trust. Another event, Old Brews and New Friends, takes place in Dreamjolt Hostelry, where players mix drinks and spend time with familiar characters through side stories.

One more thing added is the voice toggle system. This allows players to switch between usual game voices and licensed voice actors for collab characters in dialogues, combat, and idle talks, too.

Honkai Star Rail Version 3.5 Release Date

As confirmed by HoYoverse, Honkai Star Rail Version 3.5, titled Before Their Deaths will launch on August 13. It begins second half of the Amphorean storyline and adds new steps for the Trailblazer’s journey. With brand-new characters, a deeper story, and more mechanics, this version may become one of the most unforgettable yet.
