Honkai Star Rail 3.5 Hysilens Guide: Abilities, Builds, and Best Teams

fragster James Steward 10. August 2025

Honkai Star Rail Version 3.5, Before Their Deaths, will be release on August 13, 2025, bringing Hysilens as a five-star Physical Nihility character. She is for players who likes keeping control of the battlefield with steady Damage-over-Time (DoT) effects and putting debuffs on enemies. Her arrival is probably the biggest push for the DoT style since when Kafka was release.

Hysilens’ Ultimate makes a zone where enemies inside gets their attack and defense lowered. Every DoT effect already on them cause an extra Physical DoT, which can be stacking up to eight times. This makes her work best in teams who put many DoT effects together.

Her Skill do a Physical attack to all enemies and add a 20% more damage taken debuff. The Talent give her high chance for inflicting Wind Shear, Bleed, Burn, or Shock when allies make an attack, so the effects keep staying in both short and long fights.

When focusing on her traces, the Ultimate should be upgrade first, then Talent, and then Skill. Basic Attack can be left for last. Ascension traits help her put zones early, recover skill points, and make damage scale with Effect Hit Rate.

Her Light Cone, Why Does the Ocean Sing, gives more Effect Hit Rate, makes debuffed enemies take more DoT, and gives Speed to allies hitting them. For stats, it is best to have more than 120% Effect Hit Rate, around 3,000–3,500 Attack, and at least 134 Speed for turn breakpoints. Crit stats is not much needed for her.

Team Compositions

Hysilens works very well with Kafka, since she can trigger DoT many times. Black Swan and other Nihility units who can apply many debuffs also are good partners. Gallagher provide sustain for premium teams, while Luka and Sampo keep her effective in free-to-play setups.
Hysilens mix robust DoT in a long and strong amplification. As far as version 3.5 is concerned, she will transition to team building for all those players who like constant control and steady damage and will therefore be the backbone in DoT modes in Honkai Star Rail.
