After the departure of Perfecto, electroNic, and sh1ro, it was only a matter of time until Hobbit left Cloud9 as well. He was benched back in April this year after two years of playing for the organization, but nobody knew where he would go next.
It seems that 1win saw great potential in him. This organization, which represents the famous bookmaker with the same name, has a roster full of CIS players. HObbit is from Kazakhstan, which should make it easy for him to integrate into a roster that features three other members from this country, including the coach, Solaar.

HObbit started his career back in 2015. Right now, he is 30 years old, so he’s not exactly a young competitor. Some of the most important teams he was a part of are Gambit Esports, HellRaisers, Winstrike Team, and Cloud9.
1win’s results are not better than those of the orgs listed above, so this new contract is not exactly an upgrade for HObbit’s CS2 career. But it’s still a good way to continue playing the game at a high competitive level.
1win won multiple B-tier and A-tier tournaments last year and are currently ranked 57th globally. So they will likely become a top-30 team again because HObbit is a formidable player at the B-tier and A-tier levels.
His experience should help the entire roster. It’s not entirely clear why 1win went from getting great results in their division last year to struggling against a lot of supposedly weaker teams in 2024.

1win’s Chances
1win’s chances of winning C-tier, B-tier, and even A-tier tournaments, now that they have HObbit, are much better than before. Of course, it all depends on his form but also on how well the roster works together. But in principle, we should expect 1win to rise in rank significantly until the end of the season.
