HEAP Signs with Team Dignitas to Complete CS:GO Roster

Team Dignitas have announced the arrival of Ludvig “HEAP” Alonso, with the Swedish player completing the organization’s CS:GO roster in the process. The 20-year-old is relatively unproven at the highest level, with Dignitas taking something of a gamble on the former Begrip Gaming player for the remainder of the CS:GO season.

Why Dignitas Have Made Wholesale Changes

It has been a busy few days for Dignitas, who confirmed the signing of Haris “H4RR3” Hadzic from Nordavind earlier in the week. The team had just three players on its books previously, following on from the decision to bench veteran duo Christopher “GeT_RiGht” Alesund and Richard “Xizt” Landstrom.

The duo remain part of the organization, however their future is now very much in the air following the arrival of both HEAP and H4RR3.
HEAP had been a free agent after Begrip Gaming released its entire roster, with the Swede having been with the team from February to July this year. Dignitas will be hoping that his lack of experience will not be an issue, with HEAP having won the King of Nordic – Season 15: Week 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the beginning of the year.

Will the New Look Team Dignitas Deliver Results?

Posting on his Twitter page, Alonso stated that: “Getting this opportunity by Dignitas and the team is beyond reality. I am truly grateful to be a part of the team and will do everything in my power to show you all what we are capable off.”

Dignitas have failed to live up to expectations after signing its roster back in January, with their lineup having included Norwegian youngster Håkon “Hallzerk” Fjærli. Hallzerk will now operate as Head Coach, with former coach Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson transitioning to a managerial position.

Fans will get a taste of what is to come when HEAP and H4RR3 make their debut for Dignitas at Flashpoint Season Two on November 9, where they will come up against the likes of Cloud9, Gen.G and MAD Lions. Dignitas lost all three matches at the Nine to Five #4 event back in September, having come unstuck against Level Up Esports, AGF and Imperial.
