ARC Raiders features a layered skill-tree design that can dramatically alter the result of any given raid. Since players only receive one skill point at every level increase, and given the slow leveling curve in ARC Raiders, early decisions make even greater difference. This article explores the skills that will affect play styles the most and help you in your expeditions.
Understanding the Skill Framework

There are three separate trees for abilities: Mobility, Conditioning and Survival.
- Mobility encourages a focus on traversal, stamina costs, and movement-based survival.
- Conditioning facilitates combat resilience, stamina regeneration and penalties for equipment.
- Survival is linked to looting speed, encumbrance, crafting, and long-term viability in a raid.
With one point per level, players will have to prioritise: early mobility for options and then utilities for survival, with conditioning as the sub-branch.
Top Priority Skills to Unlock First
Marathon Runner (Mobility)

This ability reduces the stamina drain of moving. With stamina being one of the more limiting resources in extraction-styled runs, this perk has a good ROI in the earlier parts of the game.
Youthful Lungs (Mobility)

Increasing your maximum stamina provides you with more leeway during movement and action-heavy parts of the game (vaulting, dodging, sprinting.) This pairs well the perk Marathon Runner, as it enables you to keep active, instead of being left gasping while you regain your stamina.
Looter’s Instincts (Survival)

This ability assists with speeding up loot-menu population and container search matters when you are time pressured and vulnerable. The faster the looting process, the less time you will be exposed from above.
In-Round Crafting (Survival)

The ability to craft essential items mid-raid (heals, grenades) improves survivability and flexibility. It’s one of the best utility-skills in the tree.
Used to the Weight (Conditioning)

Since shields and heavy weapons add movement penalties, this skill will help reduce the burden. It becomes more relevant when you start carrying a heavier load-out. However, this skill is still a solid early choice in the Conditioning branch.
Sturdy Ankles (Mobility)

Minimizing fall damage allows you to take advantage of vertical traversal without needing to constantly be on the lookout for falling-out situations. It can be a luxury in general, but when you’re playing on maps with high elevations, it is more than just a luxury.
Broad Shoulders (Survival)

Carrying more loot per raid increases reward potential. This skill improves maximum encumbrance and thus ensures you’re not forced to leave high-value items behind.

Caveats and Common Missteps
Few Mobility-skills demonstrate declining efficiency or only a minimal positive gain at the later levels. For example, a skill that calls for the slow-walking ability to regenerate stamina quickly will be relatively pointless in high-end engagement.
Too much spreading of attribute points among all the trees will yield a jack-of-all-trades, but master-of-none result. A dedicated build will return much better results.
Since there is currently no ability to reset attribute points, your early decisions makes decisions significant consideration. Plan accordingly.
Conclusion
In ARC Raiders every skill point is valued. Therefore the structure mentioned above gives you opportunity to maximise your early impact and build a raider who moves smarter, survives longer, and extracts stronger. Making considered investments will set you up far better to deal with the increasing demands of high-risk extraction runs.
