Having accidently leaked the news earlier this week, GODSENT has finally officially unveiled its CS:GO lineup for the 2021 season. The organization has made no secret of its desire to become a major player in the Brazilian scene, with their new roster to be led by Epitacio “TACO” de Melo.

João “felps” Vasconcellos, Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer, Bruno “b4rtiN” Câmara and Bruno “latto” Rebelatto will make up the rest of their new lineup, with the team set to come together virtually due to the ongoing pandemic. TACO is a former SK Gaming, Luminosity and MiBR player, with the 25-year-old set to take on the role of in-game leader for GODSENT. All players are believed to have signed three-year contracts with the org.

What Will Happen to GODSENT’s Former CS:GO Players?

Former players Pavle “Maden” Boskovic, Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg, Asger “Farlig” Jensen, Jesse “zehN” Linjala, Martin “STYKO” Styk were all released, having been acquired by Alternate aTTax. Speaking on recent changes, GODSENT CEO’s Ludwig Sandgren and Henrik Denebrandt released the following statement:

“We are very much honored and excited for this new project and for everything it will bring to our organisation. We are very confident that we will do epic things together in the coming years. We want to thank Dead, Taco and the team for their passion and for bringing this about. The transition would also not be possible without our fairly new cooperation with the betting company Betsafe.”

Who Will Be in Charge of Coaching GODSENT’s Newcomers?

Meanwhile, the new-look GODSENT CS:GO lineup will be managed by Head Coach Ricardo “Dead” Sinigaglia, who will be assisted by Olavo “cky” Napoleao, with the latter having formally fulfilled a similar role at Team One. The GODSENT roster certainly has a good mix of experience and young talent on paper, which could well make them a serious threat in upcoming tournaments.

The news will come as welcome news for the Brazilian CS:GO scene as a whole, with the country having struggled over recent times for a number of reasons, including the emergence of VALORANT.
