According to reports, Swedish Esports organization GODSENT is in advances discussions to sell its CS:GO roster to another organization. Speculation first came from Jarek “DeKay” Lewis, with it being unclear as to whether such a move would see GODSENT move out of CS:GO all together.

Having only rejoined the CS:GO scene back in November last year, having ceased operations in June 2018, the Swedish team has had mixed results. Acquiring SMASH’s roster, GODSENT has made just one lineup change since, with Mikail “Maikelele” Bill having been replaced by Asger “farlig” Jensen in May. However, it now appears that farlig, along with his GODSENT teammates could well be playing for a different organization soon.

Why GODSENT Are Considering Selling Its Lineup

The addition of Farlig did little to change the fortunes of the team however, with GODSENT having struggled to find any form of consistency. Despite finishing in a respectable fifth-place at the cs_summit Six Europe over the summer, which was just the second Regional Major Ranking (RM) tournament in the region, performances quickly dropped. GODSENT then finished rock bottom of the ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe standings, while they also failed to qualify for Flashpoint Season Two.

Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend’s team are currently competing at the DreamHack Open Fall, with GODSENT finding themselves sixth in what is the third RMR event in Europe. Should they finish in such a position, it would be more than enough to see them qualify for the next CS:GO major in the calendar. It remains to be seen when this would be scheduled for, with the ESL One Rio Major having disappointingly been cancelled by ESL and Valve.

What Does the Future Hold for GODSENT?

GODSENT is not in a partnership with either the ESL Pro League or Flashpoint, the two big CS:GO leagues. In fact, they only competed in EPL Season 12 due to the fact that their players had earned enough points in ESL ranking events. We wait with baited breath to see if the sale of their existing players would see GODSENT depart the scene once again or form another roster.
