There’s a Roster! Finally, the Swedish organization GODSENT has announced its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster for the 2023 season.

In the last few hours, GODSENT has announced the signing of IGL Erik “ztr” Gustafsson, who is on loan from NiP Academy, AWPer William “draken” Sundin, and rifflers Alfred “RuStY” Karlsson, Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez and Joel “joel” Holmlund.

Swedish players in the lineup

As reported in recent weeks and confirmed by the organization, GODSENT’s new lineup is entirely Swedish.

In addition to the players mentioned above, the team will be coached by former Fnatic IGL Maikil “Golden” Selim.

We do not doubt that they will be an adamant team and are expected to do very well in the tournaments they play.

Old acquaintances

As we already know, ztr, draken and Plopski are players who know each other very well, as they were part of the NiP lineup.

NiP sent Plopski to the bench in September 2022 and signed Finland’s Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen in his place after playing for them for over three years. On the other hand, ztr was part of NiP’s academy since December 2021.

Finally, draken was part of the NiP team between 2017 and 2018, while in 2019, he returned briefly to play as a substitute.

Joel has made a giant leap in his career as a professional, as he played for the Ukrainian team Monte. However, this team is not part of the top competitive level of CS:GO, as they play Tier-B and Tier-C tournaments. Similarly, Joel was instrumental in helping his team qualify for the RMR Europe for the IEM Rio Major 2022.

On the other hand, we have RuSty, an experienced player who has been through many CS:GO teams at the professional level but who play mainly in Tier 2 of the scene. The most notable teams are Passions, Red Reserve, Team Singularity, and Team GamerLegion.

Finally, Golden played under the Savage banner in the 2022 season. Now, in 2023 he has decided to become a coach for the first time in his career, and he will do it a big way. Recall that Golden also played as a substitute on NiP in 2019 when they played the StarLadder Berlin Major.

GODSENT’s return to the CS:GO scene

The Swedish organization had been away from the competitive CS:GO scene since June 2022, when 00 Nation acquired the services of Epitácio “TACO” de Melo Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer and Bruno “latto” Rebelatto.

Then, GODSENT decided to part ways with Henrique “HEN1” Teles. And then sell João “felps” Vasconcellos to Fluxo. Which officially left them without an official CS:GO squad.

The team returns with an all-Swedish lineup, which will be the organization’s first after they had one in 2018.

In 2023, GODSENT will participate in countless small tournaments and try to qualify for the bigger ones through qualifiers. It should be noted that the organization is not associated with the ESL Pro League or BLAST Premier.
