Esports tournament organizer BLAST has launched a new content series on its BLAST Premier YouTube channel in collaboration with its betting partner GG.BET.

The series, titled the GG Chronicles, features short stories on the personal lives and backgrounds of well-known Counter-Strike 2 players from FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, and Natus Vincere (NAVI).

GG Chronicles: A Glimpse into Players’ Lives

The first season of the GG Chronicles is now live on the BLAST Premier YouTube Channel, featuring a total of four episodes. Each episode, under 10 minutes long, provides a brief overview of the personal lives and childhoods of professional players, focusing on a single player per episode.

The series begins with the story of Aleksi ‘Aleksib’ Virolainen, the current in-game leader for NAVI and former ENCE and G2 Esports player. The second episode follows Justinas ‘jL’ Lekavičius, a Latvian player also playing for NAVI. The remaining episodes focus on British player William ‘mezii’ Merriman, currently with Team Vitality, and Slovakian player David ‘frozen’ Čerňanský of FaZe Clan.

More Episodes to Come

The GG Chronicles are part of a broader partnership between BLAST and GG.BET, which began in early 2024. According to both companies, the series aims to show that “behind every star champion is a normal person with the same fears and weaknesses.”

Future Plans for BLAST

In addition to the GG Chronicles, BLAST has recently revealed plans to host a CS2 Major in Austin, Texas, in 2025. The company has also partnered with the All England Lawn Tennis Club to organize the TopSpin 2K25 tennis tournament during Wimbledon.

BLAST and GG.BET have announced that at least 10 more episodes will be released by the end of 2024.
