Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn Event Guide

fragster Stalingrad Dollosa 30. October 2025

Summary:

  • The new Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn event lets players control both the Traveler and different Saurian companions to get through multiple stages.
  • The event consists of five stages, each featuring unique obstacles that can only be overcome by using the Saurians’ abilities.
  • The event rewards players with Primogems, Mora, and ascension and level up materials.

The Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn event takes players back to Natlan for a fun puzzle adventure. From October 24 to November 3, 2025, you’ll team up with different Saurian companions to clear five puzzle stages filled with coins, obstacles, and new mechanics. Here’s a quick guide.

Event Requirements and How It Works

Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn Event Guide (2)

To join the Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn event, you must first reach Adventure Rank 20 and finish the Prologue Act III Archon Quest: “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”. Even early players can participate, although the event quest is located in Natlan which might not be unlocked yet for some.

After meeting these requirements, go to the Children of Echoes area in Natlan and talk to Komina and Kweku to unlock the event stages. Like the previous Genshin Impact event, Lightgleaner’s Journey, Saurian Sojourn also unlocked one stage per day, with the final stage unlocked on October 28. Each stage lets you control both the Traveler and a Saurian companion, switching between them anytime. Unlike normal transformations, both characters act separately.

Goals

  • Collect all Adventure Coins scattered in the stage
  • Reach the finish line with both characters (green finish line for Saurian Companion, orange finish line for the Traveler)

Each Saurian has special abilities that help solve puzzles, so pay attention to when to switch between them.

Stage 1: Dive Under Roiling Waves Guide

Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn Event Guide (3)

Saurian companion: the Koholasaurus, who can swim through boiling water safely

Unique features: boiling water, ore mechanisms, and dangerous rays

First Room

  • Switch to the Koholasaurus to grab coins underwater.
  • Then, switch back to the Traveler to lower the water level with the switch. (Continue switching between the two as you adjust water height, and collect all three coins.)
  • As the Traveler, interact with the mechanism to open the door to the next room.

Second Room

  • Switch to the Koholasaurus again. You’ll notice the water automatically rises and falls. Collect coins carefully as the water moves.
  • Find the corner beneath a broken floor. When the water rises, it will lift the Koholasaurus up, allowing you to hit the ore mechanism that disables the rays blocking the Traveler’s path. (You can switch to the Traveler first to check the location of the broken floor from beyond the rays.)
  • As the Koholasaurus, when the water lowers completely, go to the corner and wait for it to rise.
  • Use the Koholasaurus’ attack to hit the orange ore mechanism. This will disable the rays.
  • Switch to the Traveler and interact with the mechanism to open the final door and create a safe path for the Traveler.
  • As the Koholasaurus, you can swim right toward the finish line beyond the last door.
  • Switch to the Traveler and ride the moving platform to get to the finish line safely.

Stage 2: Climbing Up Precipitous Cliffs Guide

Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn Event Guide (4)

Saurian companion: the Tepetlisaurus, who can burrow through the ground and stone walls

Unique features: ore mechanisms and dangerous rays

First Room

  • As the Tepetlisaurus, burrow up the left wall to collect the first coin, then move to the opposite wall for the second coin.
  • Drop down and attack the orange ore mechanism to turn off the orange rays and activate blue ones.
  • Switch to the Traveler and move close to the blue rays, stopping just before them.
  • Switch back to the Tepetlisaurus, hit the ore mechanism again to switch rays, then return to the Traveler to proceed.
  • Use the mechanism as the Traveler to open the first door and move into the next area.

Second Room

  • Switch to the Tepetlisaurus and burrow up the wall to the right to get the coin.
  • Come down to the platform and get the coin on the left side too. Then, activate the ore mechanism. Do the same steps as in the first room until the Traveler is with the Tepetlisaurus on the platform.
  • When the rays are switched to blue, collect the fifth coin as the Traveler and stay right before the rays.
  • Switch back to the Tepetlisaurus and hit the ore mechanism again to let the Traveler move forward.
  • As the Traveler, get the last coin and activate the mechanism next to the last door. This will turn off all the rays and allow the Tepetlisaurus to follow you to the finish line.

Stage 3: Swinging Across Narrow Passes Guide

Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn Event Guide (5)

Saurian companion: the Yumkasaurus, with grappling and projectile mechanics

Unique features: Flamegranate and Relay Balls

First Room

  • Start by switching to the Yumkasaurus and grapple twice to reach the ledge with the first coin.
  • Switch to the Traveler and glide toward the mechanism in the center of the room. Interact with it to rotate the device so it faces the upper-left corner.
  • Switch back to the Yumkasaurus and pick up the Relay Ball using its skill. Shoot it at the yellow Relay Mechanism to open the left gate.
  • Pick up the Relay Ball again and fire it at the red Relay Mechanism to open the right gate.
  • As the Traveler, head through the open gate on the right and collect the coin behind it, then use the mechanism on the left side.
  • Switch to the Yumkasaurus, and shoot a Flamegranate at the large red rock in the corner to break it and get the final coin.

Second Room

  • As the Yumkasaurus, shoot a Flamegranate again at the rocks blocking the stairs on the right, then collect the coin hidden behind them.
  • Switch to the Traveler and activate the nearby mechanism to summon a Coilgrass Sigil.
  • Switch to the Yumkasaurus and interact with the sigil to make it active, then switch back to the Traveler and use it to reach a higher platform with another coin and mechanism.
  • Use the Relay Ball to hit the blue mechanism and activate a moving platform.
  • Continue switching between the Traveler and Yumkasaurus to collect any remaining coins before going to the finish line.

Stage 4: Gazing Into Shadowed Chambers Guide

Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn Event Guide (6)

Saurian companion: the Iktomisaurus, who can leap and glide to navigate tricky rooms

Unique features: Phlogiston Engravings, destructible walls, and moving spotlights

First Room

  • As the Traveler, avoid the moving spotlights as you walk across the floor, because getting caught would reset your progress.
  • Once safe, switch to the Iktomisaurus and jump up to grab the first coin.
  • Glide between the moving spotlights to collect the second coin without being detected.
  • Use the Hold Attack to grab a Phlogiston Engraving from the wall, then place it on the ground near the Traveler.
  • Switch to the Traveler, summon a Wind Current, and ride it upward to open the door to the next room.

Second Room

  • Switch to the Iktomisaurus and jump up the platforms on the right to collect another coin.
  • Move to the left and use Hold Attack to grab a Barrel Engraving nearby, then place it near the Phlogiston wall.
  • Use a normal attack to destroy the wall, then collect the coin along the new pathway.
  • Use Hold Attack again to grab the engravings that activate wind currents, then place it on the ground beside the floating platform before switching back to the Traveler.
  • As the Traveler, go to the wind currents while avoiding the lights and ride it to reach the higher platform and collect the coin.
  • Get both the Traveler and Iktomisaurus on the platform. Then, as the Traveler, activate the nearby mechanism while still on the platform.
  • When the platform reaches the top, get the last coin and reach the finish line with both characters.

Stage 5: Charging Through Immovable Rocks Guide

Genshin Impact Saurian Sojourn Event Guide (7)

Saurian companion: the Tatankasaurus, capable of breaking through solid rock

Unique features: Geothermal Vent and moving platforms

First Room

  • As the Traveler, use the Geothermal Vent to glide upward and collect coins placed on floating platforms. When you get near the mechanism, do not start it yet.
  • Switch first to the Tatankasaurus and stand on the platform between two levels.
  • You can now switch back to the Traveler and activate the mechanism to lift the platform upward.
  • Switch to the Tatankasaurus again and attack the Pulverite to create a new Geothermal Vent.
  • Switch to the Traveler again and ride the new vent to collect the third coin on the ledge above.
  • Glide to the nearby mechanism and interact with it to open the way to the next area.

Second Room

  • Summon the Tatankasaurus and destroy the Geothermal Vent nearby to activate new wind currents.
  • Switch to the Traveler and ride the wind currents to reach the upper-left ledge, where you’ll find another coin.
  • Activate the nearby mechanism to move a large platform up and down.
  • As the Tatankasaurus, ride the platform to the opposite side and use your charge ability to destroy another Geothermal Vent that will make the wind currents even stronger. There’s also the fifth coin to the left side.
  • Switch to the Traveler and ride the stronger current to get the last coin.
  • Bring both characters together at the goal to finish the stage.
