Genshin Impact’s Version 6.0 update, Luna I: Song of the Welkin Moon – Segue, will release on September 10, 2025. The biggest addition to the update is the addition of Bloom reaction buffs that are extremely potent, making a very strong new reaction archetype alongside the new character Lauma, who is a 5-star Dendro Catalyst character from the Nod-Krai region.
Lauma: The Catalyst for Bloom Evolution
Lauma changes the Bloom-based gameplay with a few confirmed mechanics:
1. Lunar-Bloom Conversions and Verdant Dew Generation

Whenever a party reaction with Bloom is triggered with Lauma on the field, the Bloom reaction is converted into a Lunar-Bloom reaction by Lauma.
This type of conversion gives a new resource called Verdant Dew, and it is counted for all party members.
2. Elemental Skill: Resistance Shred + Trigger Crits

Lauma’s elemental skill shreds Dendro and Hydro resistance on enemies and increase the power of reactions.
Most importantly, while using the skill, Lauma also grants Critical Hits to any triggered Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reactions.
Special Note:
With only Lauma (no other Nod-Krai) on her team: All of these Bloom-based reactions have a static 15% CRIT Rates and 100% CRIT DMG.
With 1 or more Nod-Krai teammates: Lauma still gives 10% CRIT Rate as well as 20% CRIT DMG but only on their Lunar-Bloom damage.
3. Elemental Burst: Verdant Dew Consumption & Buff for All Party Members

Lauma’s Elemental Burst will consume Verdant Dew in exchange for Lunar-Bloom damage along with a buff/bonus for all party members with Bloom reaction damage attached to it based on Lauma’s EM (Elemental Mastery; possibly based on the power of her burst too).
If Verdant Dew is consumed multiple times in one activation of Lauma’s Elemental Burst, it might trigger a special buff (called Moon Song) that further amplifies the damage and increases the instances of her bursting effect.
Wider Context: Bloom & Lunar Interactions

Historically, Bloom Mechanic
Bloom’s reaction happened when Hydro and Dendro interacted to create Dendro Cores that when they expired or another Elemental Application occurred would create Burgeon or Hyperbloom. The reactions could not crit, ignored enemy defence, and only scaled off Elemental Mastery and level.
Lunar Reactions and Bloom’s Nexus
Lunar-Bloom adheres to traditional Bloom mechanics, while also adding in additional resources such as Verdant Dew, damage multipliers including Critical Hits using Lauma’s kit.

Conclusion: A Tunable, High-impact Support
Lauma is one of the most tech-heavy supports released for Genshin Impact. Her kit is built specifically to enhance Bloom-based team comps by providing value from:
- Resource generation (Verdant Dew)
- Defensive shredding
- Critical support
- Burst AoE scaling
These mechanics ensure that Bloom reactions not only become relevant again in Version 6.0 Luna I but become stronger than they previously were. Lauma does not just fit into Bloom builds, she redefines them with strategic depth and tangible performance gains.
