Genshin Impact 6.2: Venti’s Major Buffs & Kit Changes

fragster Ahsan Kabir 14. November 2025

As Genshin Impact version 6.2 is incoming, the skilled Anemo Archon Venti is in for one of his largest changes since launch. According to the most recent leaks and datamines, Venti’s entire kit, signature weapon, and constellations are changing significantly in patch 6.2. The changes aim to make Venti more relevant, not just as a crowd-control support unit, but perhaps as a legitimate on-field DPS or hybrid. This article will go into depth on what has leaked so far.

What’s Changing: Leaked Buffs Overview

The information comes from datamines, community commentary and translated source texts; although not official, the consistency across sources lends them a fair bit of credibility. Major changes fall into three large categories:

1. Kit and Base Abilities

Once Venti uses his Elemental Skill (“Skyward Sonnet”) or his Elemental Burst (“Wind’s Hymn”), he and other active party members will receive a 25 % Anemo Damage Bonus that lasts 10 seconds.

Additionally, his Skill (Skyward Sonnet) will reduce an enemy’s Anemo and Physical Resistance by 12 %–24 % for 10 seconds, which is significantly better than before.

There’s also a newly introduced Wind-Rising effect that may occur under certain conditions such as when activating Venti’s Burst. This Wind-Rising effect enables Venti to deal 300 % of his Skill damage if he taps on his Skill within the 15-second duration of this effect.

These changes indicate a movement away from solely off-field support or crowd control towards either a hybrid with on-field support, or simply on-field Anemo DPS.

2. Constellations & Synergy Enhancements

The rumors indicate that at his higher Constellations (especially C4 and C6), Venti will provide considerable team-wide and self-buffs:

  • His C1 will introduce 2 additional projectiles tracking opponents for every Windsunder Arrow fired that will each hit for 20% of the original arrow’s DMG.
  • Venti’s buffed C2 grants him a chance to reset the Skill cooldown after unleashing his Burst. Venti has the potential to gain the Wherever a Breeze Blows effect after one of his Windsunder Arrows hits an enemy, which will make his next Skill usage hit for 300% of his original DMG, lasting for 15 seconds.
  • His leaked C4 buff gives Venti and active party members a 25% Anemo DMG Bonus for 10 seconds after using his Skill or Burst.
  • Finally, Venti’s C6, with the opponents who received the Anemo RES shred from the Burst effect, will also receive a 100% CRIT DMG Bonus to Venti’s DMG.

There is also the theme of “Hexerei”, also known as “Hexenzirkel” (witch-circle), faction synergy. Venti seems to get benefits when paired with other faction characters or buffs his allies..

3. Signature Weapon & Build Implications

Leaks additionally reveal that Venti will receive a new 5-star signature bow in patch 6.2, which might further improve his on-field DPS potential.

With all these new buffs, the build meta for Venti may change from earlier. Previously, players would primarily build him for Energy Recharge + Anemo Damage (as a support). However, a crit/ATK/Anemo Damage build may be preferable being played in a DPS role with these new buffs.

Strategic & Meta Implications

Meta Implications

The buff to Venti is not just an improvement, but also a signal that the devs want to make older five star characters competitive once again. Players should take note of a few key implications.

  • The worth of existing pulls: If you already have Venti, particularly with higher Constellations, his value may increase sharply.
  • Re-think builds: The build you currently have, which is support style, may no longer be the best; you may need to reallocate artifacts, stats or even change your weapon.
  • Change team compositions: With Venti being stronger, you may run him as a main dps in anemo based team, or continue to run him but with more damage as an off support. Running Venti and other characters who can trigger swirling seems a bit better now.
  • Resource considerations: With the new signature bow and new build paths, you should be starting to think about what materials, ascensions, weapons and artifacts you will need.

Conclusion

The information about Venti’s adjustments in patch 6.2 that has leaked represents one of the largest reworks he has had. By improving his kit, increasing his damage potential, and expanding his ability to do more than just crowd control, HoYoverse seems adamant about getting old favorites like Venti to be relevant again. Like every time, the only final clarity will come when the update is live and the meta settles. It seems Venti’s second wind is coming and if these leaks prove to be true, it, could be a strong one.
