Gen.G Esports is ready to dominate the 2024 League of Legends World Championships in style! The LCK esports team has announced joining forces with Descente, a leading Japanese sports fashion brand. The partnership is to create a special uniform for Gen.G to don at the Worlds 2024. Fans can see the team wear it on 25th September at the kick-off in Berlin.

The team wishes to express their confidence and desire to win the World Championships through the uniform. “Worlds White”, the name and design of the uniform set, seems to perfectly represent this.
For Gen.G’s new outfit, Descente has crafted a crisp white uniform set consisting of a jacket and jersey. They are both accentuated with golden lines and details inspired from the iconic Gen.G logo. The team’s fighting spirit is symbolized by a tiger scratch mark, smartly incorporated into their brand name which sits at the center of the jersey.
Gen.G Esports CEO Arnold Hur is enthusiastic about the partnership, saying that they wanted to honor the history of Descente’s expertise in high-quality sports clothing. He stated that their aim is to give Gen.G a reimagined look that also celebrates the hard work and dedication the team displayed on their way to the Worlds 2024 stage.

Gen.G’s Road to Glory
Gen.G emerged victorious in the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), a win which quickly qualified them for the World Championships 2024. The Korean esports team also displayed a strong performance in League of Legends Championships Korea (LCK) despite one setback, which was their defeat to Hanwha Life Esports in the Summer Splits. This ruined their shot at the “Golden Road” and put them as the LCK’s second seed. Still, the team has had an amazing year so far, with an impressive and almost flawless run making them top contenders for the title.
Expectations are high for this promising team, and especially for Gen.G’s key player Jung Ji-hun, also known as Chovy. Fans and even fellow pros highly acknowledge him as one of the best mid-laners globally, yet he always falls short of reaching a Worlds finals, hence having the “Chovy curse”. However, with Gen.G’s brilliant run leading up to the Worlds stage, he might just be able to break it. This year, Chovy is confident: “We will ride on this momentum and perform brilliantly in our new uniforms. We will repay our fans for their support with great news at this Worlds.”
