Game release schedule for June 2022

Just a few weeks before the summer holidays kick off, game developers are unquestionably busy with the upcoming game releases to keep the players entertained in the summertime. As such, June 2022 is packed with game releases for various platforms.

To keep up with all the upcoming titles, Fragster prepared a list of June’s most anticipated game releases and information about them.

Diablo Immortal June 2

(iOS, Android)

The new game by Blizzard Entertainment for mobile devices will tell an untold story dating between Diablo II and III. The MMO action RPG title will be free-to-play and is told to feature a vast world, iconic classes from the series, lots of customization opportunities, as well as 1-on-1 PvP battles and clashes with packs of monsters. Moreover, the developers are reportedly preparing to launch a beta for the PC version, so players can look forward to the cross-platform play in the future. 

Gigapocalypse June 2

(PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch)   

Gigapocalypse is a 2D pixel destruction game where the main goal is to destroy everything. Players can choose different “Gigas” to their own taste and create an apocalypse with a heavy metal soundtrack. The game was released in November 2021 on PC, and in June the developers plan to add the game to Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch.

Five Memories of My Time with You June 2

(Switch, PS4) 

Five Memories of My Time with You is an anime novel about a graduation trip to Okinawa, Japan. The main hero travels to the island with five sisters and the player needs to choose who he wants to fall in love with.

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle June 6

(PC, PS4, Xbox One) 

The Elder Scrolls Online will get a DLC with a completely new location called High Isle, featuring majestic castles, cliffs and jungles. Players will get a completely new story about Bretons Legacy as well as challenges, rewards, exclusive companions, Volcanic Vents world event and a card game called Tales of Tribute. 

SpellForce III Reforced June 7

(PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S) 

SpellForce III Reofrced is a 2017 game for PC by THQ Nordic, featuring an RPG storyline combined with RTS elements. The release for consoles will add lots of improvements, bug fixes, new features, and game modes to the game. 

Pro Cycling Manager June 9

(PC)

Pro Cycling Manager 2022 is a game that allows players to become sports directors. Players can choose and create cyclers, select the equipment, plan routes of races, scout sportsmen and train them. The new version of the game also brings a new and easier-to-use interface as well as redesigned stamina and resistance system.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles June 10

(Switch)

The Hinokami Chronicles is an arena fighter in a Demon Slayer Universe. Players can choose their favourite heroes from the Demon Slayer anime. Moreover, the game has an Adventure Mode to explore the main story about Tanjiro, whose family was killed by a demon. Previously the game was released on PC and consoles and on June 10 it will become available on Nintendo Switch.

Mario Strikers: Battle League June 10

(Switch)

The latest game in the Mario franchise will be a football/soccer title for Nintendo Switch. The main feature of the game is that there are no common rules, so players can smash and tackle each other, as well as use special abilities in order to defeat their opponent. 

The Quarry June 10

(PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X) 

The Quarry is an interactive horror drama game in which players will follow the story of nine teenagers, who went for a camp party that turned into a horror night. Players will have full control over the story, where each move determines who lives and who dies. 

Starship Troopers: Terran Command June 16

(PC)

Starship Troopers: Terran Command is a real-time strategy in the universe of Starship Troopers movies. The player needs to take command of the Mobile Infantry, fight against the Arachnids and save the human civilization.

The Day Before June 21

(PC)

The Day Before is an open-world MMO, which takes place in post-pandemic America where people fight for food, guns, and cars along with fighting against infected creatures. Players can customize their characters and weapons, as well as build their own houses and have personal vehicles to travel and search for valuable loot. 

Wreckfest June 21

(Switch)

Wreckfest is a racing video game published by THQ Nordic. The main feature of the game is epic car battles with tons of realistic crashes. The game provides a unique racing experience along with full vehicle customization. Wreckfest is already available on PC and on June 21 the game will launch on Nintendo Switch.

Sonic Origins June 23

(PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch)  

Sonic Origins is the ultimate collection of four classic Sonic games in high-resolution graphics. The developers also added new opening and ending cut scenes, missions with unlockable content and two new game modes Classic and Anniversary. 

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes June 24

(Switch)

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is a hack and slash game for the Nintendo Switch. The story happens in Fódlan, the main setting of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, a game of 2019. The gameplay resembles the Dynasty Warriors game when characters fight on enormous battlefields with tons of enemies.

Capcom Fighting Collection June 24

(PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch)

Capcom Fighting Collection includes ten games from FGC franchises such as Street Fighter, Super Puzzle Fighter and Vampire Savior. The developers added quicksaves, training modes, additional content and fully featured online modes. 

MADiSON June 24

(PC, PS4, PS5)

MADiSON is a first-person psychological horror by Nosebleed Games. As a part of the gameplay, players need to solve puzzles and explore the environment to figure out what happened to Luca, the main character of the game, and how to fight MADiSON, the demon who chases the hero.

Outriders Worldslayer June 30

(PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia)

The Worldslayer will be the biggest Outriders expansion to date, adding a new region to the game — Enoch with snow, ice and blizzards around. Apart from the new storyline, the developers will add almost a hundred Legendary items to the game, including armour sets and weapons. To stay engaged, players will also receive a new character improvement path, as well as two new subclasses for the character and build customisation. 

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak June 30

(PC, Switch)

The new expansion to Monster Hunter Rise by Capcom will add new characters, hunting locations and major improvements to the gameplay. In the location called Shrine Ruins,  players will need to investigate why Kingdom monsters are becoming violently aggressive.
