G2 Esports completed their CS:GO lineup by adding Justin “jks” Savage and Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen. The two players take the former places of Audric “JACKZ” Jug and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. It looks like the two professionals have already signed with the organization.
G2 esports has now confirmed the rumors that emerged back in July. Aleksib and JACKZ are allowed to look for other opportunities after a disappointing first half of the 2022 season, in which G2 only played well at IEM Katowice back in February.
The former captain Aleksib signed with G2 in January and the organization had hopes that he could bring a little more power to the team. However, that wasn’t the case and the squad’s performances didn’t improve. While Aleksib is still under contract with G2, JACKZ will play again for the all-French team HEET.

Two newcomers HooXi and jks
HooXi brings a lot of experience to the new team. The 27-year-old Danish professional played for the Copenhagen Flames, x6tence and the MAD LIONS, among others. He was quite successful with the Copenhagen Flames and even reached the quarterfinals of the PGL Majors in Antwerp with his team.
Super excited to announce that I will be the IGL of @G2esports!
I believe this is a huge step in the right direction for me as a player and I can't wait to get back on the server!
A lot of new challenges ahead of me but I will say "shat ap" to @G2NiKo and everything will be fine.— Rasmus🐢Pallisgaard (@HooXiCSGO) August 16, 2022
The second player signed by G2 is Australian star player jks. The 26-year-old was previously at Complexity, but has been on the bench for nine months and is now looking forward to a new adventure. Recently, the Aussie stepped in as a substitute for FaZe Clan during IEM Katowice, filling in for Robin “ropz” Kool and Håvard “rain” Nygaard at various stages of the tournament. It definitely paid off, as FaZe put on a flawless performance and jks was able to show his best side.
Thank you @G2esports for the opportunity to be apart of such a prestigious organization! Eager to play again and very excited to be able to work with these talented group of guys! 😄

G2 welcomes new players
G2 seemingly can’t wait to compete with the two newcomers, as the org made the following statement:
” Australian rifler, jks, is as G2 as they come aside from the fact that he’s recently won a trophy. Having already taken part in one of our infamous 0-3 finals (but from the winning side), we’re excited to have him onboard to help us flip the script. If you can’t beat ‘em, buy ‘em!
Our other signing, HooXi (who?), is an experienced IGL who has qualified for back to back Majors and is ready to help G2 win one. His cool comms and insane entry frags have us watering at the mouth as we await his G2 debut.”
G2’s current CS:GO line-up:
- Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
- Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
- Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
- Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen
- Justin “jks” Savage
- Remy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam (Coach)
G2’s new line-up will make its debut in Group B of the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups, with the first game against Team Liquid taking place on August 20.
