FURIA remain alive in the CBLOL 2026 Split 2 playoffs after completing a five-game comeback against RED Canids. After falling 2-1 behind in the lower bracket, FURIA won two consecutive elimination games to secure a 3-2 victory and a place in the top three.
The result eliminates RED from the domestic title race in fourth place, while FURIA now move into a decisive lower-bracket final against LOUD on October 3. The winner will advance to the Grand Final and secure a place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship.
RED Put FURIA One Game From Elimination
The series quickly became dangerous for FURIA.
RED managed to take two of the opening three games, building a 2-1 advantage and moving within a single victory of eliminating their opponents. That left FURIA without any room for another mistake.
Instead of collapsing under the pressure, the team responded by taking Game 4 and forcing the series into a deciding fifth map.
The comeback developed in clear stages:
- RED established a 2-1 series lead
- FURIA won Game 4 with elimination on the line
- The deciding Game 5 also went to FURIA
- RED were eliminated from CBLOL Split 2 in fourth place
The 3-2 result was especially important because it came during the lower bracket. Every remaining game after FURIA fell behind carried immediate elimination consequences.
FURIA Find the Answer in the Final Two Games
FURIA’s recovery was not based on one isolated play. They had to survive two complete drafts and close two consecutive games after RED had already put themselves in position to advance.
Bot laner Ayu was one of FURIA’s more consistent offensive pieces during the series. Across highlighted games, he produced strong performances on multiple champions, including Ezreal, Kalista and Zeri.
That flexibility gave FURIA options across different drafts while maintaining a reliable source of damage.
FURIA went from one game away from elimination to one series away from the World Championship.
The turnaround also continued a strong 2026 head-to-head record against RED. Earlier in the Split 2 playoffs, FURIA had swept the same opponent 3-0 before RED fought through the lower bracket to earn a rematch.
This time, RED came much closer to reversing the result but could not finish the series.
RED Canids Exit the CBLOL Title Race
The defeat ends RED Canids’ Split 2 playoff run.
RED had already survived multiple elimination matches before meeting FURIA again, including victories over Keyd Stars and paiN Gaming during their lower-bracket journey.
Their fourth-place finish still carries an international reward. RED have secured Brazil’s place at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational, giving the roster another competition after its domestic elimination.
| Team | Result | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| FURIA | 3-2 victory | Lower-bracket final |
| RED Canids | 2-3 defeat | Demacia Cup |
| LOUD | Upper-final defeat | Faces FURIA |
| LOS | Upper-final victory | Grand Final + Worlds |
For RED, however, the path toward the CBLOL championship and Worlds has ended.
LOUD Await in Worlds-Qualifying Series
FURIA’s next opponent is now confirmed.
LOS defeated LOUD 3-2 in the upper-bracket final on September 27. That result sent LOS directly into the CBLOL Grand Final and secured the team a spot at Worlds 2026.
LOUD dropped into the lower bracket, where they will meet FURIA on October 3.
The stakes are straightforward:
- The winner qualifies for Worlds 2026
- The winner advances to the CBLOL Grand Final
- The losing team is eliminated from Worlds contention
- LOS already hold the first available Brazilian Worlds berth
That makes FURIA versus LOUD one of the most important domestic series of the season.
FURIA have also performed well against LOUD during 2026. They won their Split 2 regular-season meeting 2-0 and also defeated LOUD 3-0 during the Split 1 playoffs.
Those earlier results provide context, but they do not guarantee the outcome of the upcoming best-of-five.
FURIA Still Have a Route to the CBLOL Title
The victory over RED also preserves FURIA’s chance to win Split 2.
To do so, they must first defeat LOUD and then face LOS in the Grand Final on October 10.
The lower-bracket route is demanding, but FURIA have already demonstrated that they can survive high-pressure situations. Coming back from 2-1 down against RED required two consecutive wins with the season effectively on the line.
Their next challenge raises the stakes even further.
A win against LOUD would guarantee international competition at Worlds and give FURIA another opportunity to challenge LOS for the domestic title.
Assessment
FURIA’s 3-2 victory is significant because of both the comeback itself and what it preserves.
The team did not dominate RED in the rematch. Instead, FURIA were forced into two straight elimination games and found a way to win both. That makes the result a useful test of their ability to perform under playoff pressure.
The next series against LOUD will provide a much bigger measure of their season. Previous victories over LOUD show that FURIA can beat this opponent, but a Worlds-deciding best-of-five carries very different consequences.
For RED, fourth place closes the domestic campaign but still leads to the Demacia Cup Global Invitational.
For FURIA, the equation is simpler: one more series win means a place at Worlds 2026 and a shot at the CBLOL championship.
