We’ve grown accustomed to great performances from Team Vitality at the biggest of eSports stages, but they’ve surprised even us with their stunning showing at the ESL Pro League Season 22. Their 3-0 win against Team Falcons was just a strawberry at the top of the cake that was one layer of excellence followed by another throughout the entire tournament.
The win at the ESL Pro League Season 22 is a testimony to the year the team has had in 2025. Their Counter Strike division has managed to add an eight title in 2025 to Team Vitality’s trophy cabinet. Yet, it was their first win in the second part of the season, adding to its significance even more. With this trophy Team Vitality has once again positioned itself as one of the best teams in eSports, and is entering the last few months of the season with highest ambitions.
You can bet that opponents will be wary of Team Vitality with tournaments such as IEM Chengdu and Budapest Major right around the corner. The message sent in the awe of ESL Pro League Season 22 Grand Final was clear for everyone to understand, the team once known as a ‘dream team’ still has enough firepower to take down any opponent regardless of the stage.
Team Vitality ESL Pro League Season 22 Chances of a Win Through Bookmakers Lenses
Even before the tournament started, if you’ve been following the ESL Pro League Season 22 odds, you knew that Team Vitality was one of the favorites to win it all. Before the tournament their odds were set at 2.90, and they were clear cut favorites for the title. Yet, the odds need to be justified with performances, and Team Vitality has done so, as they have throughout the entire year. ApEX, Ropz, mezii, ZywOo, and flameZ are an amazing team, and rare are those opponents that can stand up to them on the CS 2 battlefields.
Interestingly enough, their opponents in the final, the Team Falcons, were a tad bit underestimated before the tournaments. With their odds being set at 7.50, Team Falcons were the underdogs of the tournament. Yet, NiKo, TeSeS, m0NESY, kyxsan, and kyousuke showed in their best suits and performed at the highest level, all the way up to the final. The odds do not often tell the whole story, so if you want to learn more about betting on eSports you ought to check out this Esports betting guide. It could help you massively when the next major eSports tournament is on schedule. In the meantime let us walk you through Team Vitality’s road to the finals at the ESL Pro League Season 22.
Stage 1
The tournament started on September 28th, and 16 teams participated from the get go battling it out for the 8 spots in the second stage of the tournament. It was evident from the start that there will be surprises left and right. The biggest one, without a doubt, was the 2-0 defeat of Team Vitality in the hands of Gentle Mates. At that moment it appeared as the TV would not have quite a decent tourney. The opening loss, while being a shocking experience, was an eye opening one too, as Team Vitality understood the assignment, not underestimating anyone. What followed were three deciding wins, all with a score of 2-0, against GamerLegion, HOTU, and G2 eSports. With a 3-1 score, Team Vitality, in the end, secured a playoff spot with ease.
Stage 2
The second stage of the tournament took place from 4th to 8th October, and it was a stage on which the top eight teams in the CS 2 universe went at each other’s throats. The teams that made it to the Stage 2 first were Team Spirit and Team Falcons. They’ve come to the playoffs after a 3-0 start, and in their wins they haven’t dropped a single map. Right behind them were the pack of FURIA, MOUZ, and Team Vitality. Their 3-1 scores were enough for the Playoffs, while we had to wait a tad bit longer for FaZe Clan, NAVI, and 3DMAX to join the fray.
Playoffs
Come the playoffs, and both us and every Esports sportsbook knew that it’s the stage where Team Vitality is going to shine the brightest. Yet, they’ve started off on the wrong foot once again. Team Vitality was paired against team FURIA in the quarter finals and it was FURIA who struck first at the Overpass. What followed was a demonstration of resilience and a true defensive effort by TV, as they took down their opponents on Inferno and Nuke maps which was enough for them to secure a place in the semi finals.
In the semi finals we have witnessed every aspect of what makes the latter stages of the ESL Pro League so amazing. The confrontation between FaZe Clan and Team Vitality was one for the ages. The two rosters are seen as powerhouses in the world of CS 2 and they’ve proven that title through their latest battle. This entire tournament saw Team Vitality starting off on the back foot. It was no different in the semis. FaZe Clan opened the semi finals with a 22-20 win on Mirage map, and it appeared for a brief moment they were heading for the Grand Final.
Yet, Team Vitality once again showed why they were favoured to go all the way by sports betting outlets such as Stake.com. Unlike in the quarter finals when Team Vitality showed how well they fare on the defensive, they responded with an offensive masterpiece on Inferno and Dust to turn the score around. When it was all said and done, it was clear that Team Vitality was more than deserving of a place in yet another Grand Final.
Grand Final
The stage was set for the ESL Pro League Season 22 Grand Final between Team Vitality and Team Falcons on October 12th. Not only that the EPL trophy was on the plate, but the top two teams in the tourney would take home the majority of the $1 million prize. This duel already had a prelude earlier this year when Team Falcons won against Team Vitality, and it was clear from the get go in the final that TV is bloodlust and eager to get its much awaited revenge.
At the first map, Inferno, both teams showed why exactly they were in the Grand Final . The rounds were tight, and we can’t say that we were too sure in TVs win. Yet, the win at the first map belonged to Team Vitality, and it was not something we were used to seeing from them during this tournament. Team Falcons are not one to admit defeat before it’s the end, but they were not good enough in the second map to even the score, and in no time we had Team Vitality leading the series 2-0. When it was time for Dust2 it was clear that Team Vitality had the cat in the bag. They rose up to the occasion, and when it was all said and done a 3-0 victory in the Grand Final of the ESL Pro League Season 22 was secured.
A Win in Style
Not only that Team Vitality is one of the best teams in eSports they are also one, in our humble opinion, to sport the most appealing kits. The brand new Hummel white kits, with red, white, and blue details and their Eiffel Tower like badge belong in Louvre. Vitality’s Partnership with Stake.com is also seen as a jackpot and we’re not talking about the commercial side of the deal, but about how well the Stake brand logo blends with the new Team Vitality kits. It was clear from the beginning that the two entities are going to have fruitful cooperation, as leaders in their respective domains, besides the partnership with Stake, Team Vitality has other partners, some of whom are Hummel and Magnum.
With Team Vitality being one of the most decorated CSHGO and CS2 teams in history it was only a matter of time before Stake became their betting partner as they have done in the past with the likes of Drake, Davido, Alex Pereira, FC Everton, and many others. Always partnering with the best was the motto of Stake from the beginning, and joining forces with Team Vitality and making their mark on eSports is just another logical move in their evolution to date.
The growth of Team Vitality under their legendary roster we’ve mentioned above, and now backed by a legendary sportsbook, is almost a guarantee of their future success. If it is anything like their most recent kits, we expect much more to come. You could even argue that the new kits are in pair with those released by PSG, and we all know that Paris is well known as one of the world’s fashion capitals. Truly, the win by Team Vitality at the ESL Pro League Season 22, is what you call winning in style.
What Next For Team Vitality CS2?
The good news is that the team will have the time to savour their latest win. The title they’ve won, the ESL Pro League Season 22, was their second consecutive win, making the accomplishment even greater. The fans of the team and eSports in general will have to wait until October to see the TV back in action. The organization will be in China in November, where they will participate at the I|EM Chengdu 2025. This is one of the last Tier 1 events of the year, so you can expect another stellar performance from team Vitality when time is due.
Once Team Vitality finishes their China adventure they will be heading to StarLadder Budapest Major, where they will try to continue the amazing results they’ve accomplished so far in 2025. As we said, at the moment, Team Vitality stands at eight trophies on the year, and if things go according to plan, they will have a few more before January comes around. While currently on the rise, Team Vitality has plenty more work to do to reach the heights, and both financial and tournament rewraps the likes of Team Liquid, OG, or Team Spirit have.
If you’ve been following them, and other teams in eSports, but haven’t still tried to wager on eSports, here’s how to do it.
How to Bet on Esports & Types of Bets Available
The best route to take here would be to take the one Team Vitality has and join your forces with Stake. Open an account on their platform, as one of the best for eSports out there. Once logged in, with funds deposited, scroll through their website or app and find the eSports section.
Once there you can pick eSports in general, select particular eSports, tournaments, or individual matches. There are always upcoming events on schedule and you can pick those that have a close date. Choose your bets wisely, select the events you like, add them to your slip, and choose the amount you want to wager. Depending on the eSport you pick, the types of bets might differ, but in essence, the basic ones work for the majority of events. These are the ones you should aim at, at the beginning of your eSports betting adventure:
- Match winner: Each eSports fixture usually ends in a win or a loss. Rare are those eSports where a draw is an option. Even when it is, you pick a team’s win, loss or a draw. Either way we’re talking about a straight moneyline wager.
- Tournament winner: An outright bet where you choose a team that is going to win the entire tournament. We’re sure you would have picked Team Vitality for the ESL Pro League Season 22.
- Map handicap & Map Winner: In eSports that rely on teams winning matches by competing maps first, where the best of 3 or best of 5 series are in question, wagering on Map handicap (a win by1 or more maps), or simply on one team winning a single map is an option too.
These are the main options, and once you handle those, you can shift your attention to Totals bets (over/under), Correct score, Prop bets, and Parlays. When the next time Team Vitality plays, remember to back them up with at least one wager. You know it’s going to be a winning one.
