After an intense Play-In phase, the teams participating in the Group Stage of the CCT West Europe – Online Series #1 are getting ready to give their all in the tournament to get closer to the chance to get their share of the $50,000 prize pool.

The Play-Ins were super exciting, with 16 teams fighting for one of the four spots available in the CCT West Europe – Online Series #1 Group Stage, which will kick off next Monday, February 6. Here, the four advancing teams will be joined by 12 invited squads to fight for eight spots available in the Playoffs.

Advancing teams

From January 25 to 29, we enjoyed the Play-In phase of the CCT West Europe, where we saw teams like Mixfits, Nexus, Orgless Heroes, and Coalesce, demonstrate an exceptional level of play, which led them to take those four remaining spots in the CCT West Europe – Online Series #1.

The four successful teams that advanced from Play-Ins and who will be joined by twelve invited teams in the Group Stage are:

  • Mixfits
  • Orgless Heroes
  • Nexus
  • Coalesce

Three of these four teams, namely Mixfits, Nexus, and Orgless Heroes finished the Play-Ins undefeated, while Coalesce was surprised by EPIC DUDES, who also came as favorites in the final match.

Invited teams

In addition to the four squads that qualified through the Play-In phase, these twelve teams received their invites:

  • BLUEJAYS
  • Endpoint
  • Tricked
  • HONORIS
  • Illuminar
  • Young Ninjas
  • FTW Esports
  • EYEBALLERS
  • Team Spirit Academy
  • Ungentium
  • los kogutos
  • iNation

As we can see, we have teams that know what it is to be crowned in tournaments, such as BLUEJAYS, the roster that won the IESF World Esports Championship 2022. Moreover, we will have other teams with a good track record in the European CS:GO scene, such as Endpoint, Young Ninjas, Team Spirit Academy, and HEET.

Format & schedule

The competition will be played in Swiss format, starting next Monday, February 6, at 11AM CET. The matches will run enveryday until February 14.

Here’s te schedule for the first two days:

February 6

  • 11 AM CET: Endpoint vs. Coalesce
  • 2 PM CET: Bluejays vs. Mixfits
  • 5 PM CET: Tricked vs. Orgless Heroes
  • 8 PM CET: Illuminar vs. Nexus

February 7

  • 11 AM CET: EYEBALLERS vs. Team Spirit Academy
  • 2 PM CET: HONORIS vs. Los Kogutos
  • 5 PM CET: iNation vs. FTW Esports
  • 8 PM CET: Young Ninjas vs. Ungentium

After the group stage is concluded and the top eight teams from this stage are known, they will be joined by another eight invited teams (to be announced in due course) in a fight for a share of the $50,000 prize pool. The Playoffs begins on February 20.
