Following some impressive displays for the organization, Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf has had his contract renewed by Sentinels. The 2019 Fortnite World Champion has extended his time with Sentinels for another two years, having posted a video on his Twitter page confirming the news. While it is not known just how much Sentinels has paid for the privilege, it is believed that it was a hefty sum.

Why Bugha Chose to Stay with Sentinels

It was previously rumoured that the likes of Cloud9 and Team SoloMid were keen on acquiring the services of Bugha, however the American has instead chosen to stick around at Sentinels. Many within the Esports scene have already applauded the world champion for his loyalty, with the 18-year-old having become one of the most popular Fortnite pros around today. Posting on Twitter, the teenager wrote: Proud to announce that I’m resigning to @Sentinels for another 2 years! ?#SENFamily #SENUP

Bugha won $3 million at the inaugural Fortnite World Cup, an achievement which saw the youngster signed by Gary Vaynerchuk’s agency, VaynerGaming. Bugha also established a host of partnerships, including with Five Below, with whom he released his own clothing line. Sentinels may operate in VALORANT, Apex Legends and Halo, however the renewal of Bugha potentially makes him the organization’s biggest draw.

How the Spat Between NRG Ronaldo & Brady Played Out

It has been a busy start to 2021 in the world of Fortnite, with pros NRG Ronaldo and Clix having already found the time to start beef. After NRG Ronaldo took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support in 2020, his former social media manager, Brady, questioned his growth in followers.

Ronaldo’s teammate Clix quickly had his say on the matter, calling Brady a “weirdo” and recounting a time in which Brady stated that Clix’s account would die without his input. While Brady attempted to pour cold water on the spat, saying that he was simply aiming to state facts, both Ronaldo and Clix were clearly not ready to let things slide.

Ronaldo is seemingly focusing his attempts on streaming at the start of the new year, with the Fortnite pro currently having some 1.4 million Twitch followers to his name. Bugha, has 3.7 million followers on the popular streaming platform to his name, while Clix has 2.4 million, all demonstrating just how popular Fortnite has become.
