It seems as though Epic Games is gearing up for one of its strangest partnerships ever; with the latest news and some in-game hints, we may see The Simpsons enter Fortnite as part of a themed mini-season. Epic has not yet officially announced anything, but players have been slowly getting more excited based on recent news and leaks.

More Speculation

Speculation started after Fortnite patch 37.50 released with a new glider featuring Kang and Kodos from The Simpsons. In the description of the glider it even has a fun line that throws a reference in as to why they are not included in the Battle Pass: “Can you believe it, Kodos? They left us out of the Battle Pass”. Many took it as the official teasing of a possible crossover or themed season around the show.

IGN’s The Fix: Entertainment, also mentioned as reported on the collaboration, making it more likely we may see a Simpsons event in the next couple weeks. Other sources mentioning this, were AS, and Times of India, who claimed that Fortnite “confirmed its new Simpsons season most entertainingly and unexpectedly,” and referenced the Kang and Kodos cosmetic item given to players.

What to Anticipate from the Mini-Season

If the leaks are correct, players can anticipate a Simpsons-themed mini-season set in Fortnite that will come with themed skins, cosmetics and potentially new in-game locations styled after Springfield. Like their mini-seasons in the past, Epic often introduces limited-time quests as well as exclusive cosmetics, so a similar model may apply to this themed mini-season. Some of the biggest anticipated skin additions include notable characters such as Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa.

The event could also utilize Fortnite’s ever-changing creative mode and offer players themed challenges or experiences that evoke the humor as well as animated aesthetics of The Simpsons. While no official release date has been cited, it is speculated by many that it has roughly due in the December timeframe of 2025 due to Epic’s seasonal update schedules.

An Exciting Crossover Around the Corner

Fortnite has a long, successful history of crossovers with major television, film and gaming franchises, including Marvel, Star Wars, Dragon Ball and Lego, but The Simpsons could serve as a whole-forum pop culture nostalgia with two of entertainment’s largest properties coming together. More thoughts and ideas are now circulating the internet and official confirmation from Epic Games would be met with excitement.
