Epic Games has launched the Summer Road Trip 2025, a new event with some awesome Fortnite and Rocket League cosmetic giveaways. The most buzz around the rewards are the Hairpin Skin and the Rocket League Glider (League Balloon Glider). Both items are technically free, players don’t have to get V-Bucks. They just have to complete a few relatively easy tasks in Rocket League.

Event Timings

The Rocket League quest runs from July 22 at 6 a.m. (PT) and will be finished on August 4, 2025, 11 PM PT. On the other hand, the Fortnite Summer Road Trip event goes on from July 22 at 9 AM ET until August 7, 2025, at 2 AM ET. Also, during July 22–28, Fortnite got daily changing quests too, which can unlock extra stuff like the stylish Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 skin.

These two rewards are connected with particular challenges inside Rocket League as part of this Road Trip event. Since Rocket League and Fortnite both belong to Epic Games, you must link up your accounts in the right way. If not, you may not receive anything.

Hairpin Skin (for Fortnite)

  • What to do: You should make 15 or more Saves or Epic Saves in Online Matches in Rocket League.
  • Tips: It is better if you play as goalie or defend player, because saves coming faster if you are near the goal area. Try playing Casual or Ranked matches to get it done easier.

League Balloon Glider (Rocket League Glider)

  • What to do: Just play 1 Private Match with Custom Mutators turned on.
  • Tips: You can start a private game by going to “Custom Games,” and then modify things like ball speed, gravity or boost levels. Any random changes to mutators still works.

Once all the objectives you did in Rocket League, you must open Fortnite using the same Epic account. Then, you will see some kind of message and the items will be put in your locker automatically.

Don’t forget to check the Epic Games account is the same on both Rocket League and Fortnite. Otherwise, things may not transfer. These rewards won’t last long, and the chance is low that they will come back. So, if you want these exclusive cosmetics, do the challenges before the event ends. This collaboration gives a fun summer gift to players who like both games and want to collect cool stuff without paying.
