Fortnite Servers Go Down After Chapter 2 Finale Event

After the phenomenal in-game event “The End” held yesterday, December 4 to mark the end of Fortnite Chapter 2, Fortnite has gone down pending the launch of the chapter 3 of the battle royale game. December 4th 2021 marked the end the second chapter of Fortnite Battle Royale, and Epic Games commemorated this remarkable day with an Epic in-game season ending event titled “The End”.

This event, which was announced several weeks ago, gave an open invitation for Fortnite players to hop in online and battle with the Cube Queen herself to determine the fate of the island. During the event, fans and players watched as the entire Fortnite island tumbled over, and gave rise to a brand new island on which the adventures of the soon to be launched Chapter three will take place.

Servers go down after final event

Consequent to the death of the former island and the revelation of the new one, Fortnite servers are currently down, and may likely remain so until the launch of Chapter 3. At the end of the 11-minute long in-game grand finale event, all Fortnite players’ avatars started floating in the middle of the ocean, and they still remain that way till the time of this report. You may recall that at the end of Fortnite Chapter 1, when the entire island got engulfed in a Black Hole, the game also went offline for a couple of days before Chapter 2 went live.

At the moment, Epic Games hasn’t said anything categorical on the exact day when Chapter 3 will launch. However, reputable Fortnite leaker and dataminer HYPEX revealed that Fortnite Chapter 3 will launch today, 5th December, 2021.HYPEX has also recently leaked the trailer of Chapter 3 Battle Pass, showing lots of amazing things coming to the next chapter of the game.

Spiderman is coming to Fortnite

The leaker has also revealed that several Spider Man costumes will be available, and Daily Bugle will also be somewhere in the chapter 3 map. Players will be able to visit this location and swing like the Spider Man. Furthermore, HYPEX revealed through the leaked trailer that Marcus Fenix, Kait Diaz and some other characters from Microsoft’s Gears of War franchise may be coming to Fortnite Chapter 3.

Judging from the information that the leaker has revealed so far, players are also expecting a new sliding mechanic, new weapons, new animals, new tree physics and many more exciting changes in the next chapter of the battle royale game.
