Tomorrow marks the official return of the Fortnite in-person experience! With the stage set in Raleigh, North Carolina, the world’s best duos in Fortnite will be duking out throughout this weekend for their share of the $1 million prize pool.

This event will decide who is the best duo in Fortnite for this year as it did with years prior, with the winners getting $200,000.

Details & Format

The FNCS Invitational 2022 will be played offline, which means Fortnite fans will get to witness pro players from various regions go up against each other in a single lobby, and see which region reigns above the rest.

The event will feature a Duos format which will mirror this year’s FNCS structure. A total of 50 duos consisting of some of the best Fortnite players were invited based on their performance in the FNCS finals throughout the year. Players will be competing in 12 matches across the duration of two days, with six matches to be played each day.

Players will be rewarded with victory points based on their performance throughout the event, with the Victory Royale being 32 points, 31st to 35th players will get four points for the ranking. Each elimination will have two points thus making placement a major factor here.

Broadcast, drops and special events

The FNCS Invitational will be broadcasted live through Fortnite’s official social and streaming channels. On November 12, viewers will have the opportunity to earn three new cosmetic Fortnite Drops by watching the FNCS Invitational. However, viewers need to link their Epic account with their Twitch account within 14 days of claiming their Drop reward to ensure they will receive their Fortnite Twitch Drops. The drops will be announced on Fortnite official Twitter and Instagram.

While the rewards will no longer be available to claim via Drops once the FNCS broadcast ends on November 13, they may become available at the Fortnite in-game shop in the future. For those who want to host their own watch party or improve their casting, can also do so with the broadcast clean feed.

The trophy and more Fortnite

To mark the return of the LAN competitive Fortnite, Epic Games has partnered with the glass and jewelry producer Swarovski to create a trophy fit for the true champions.

Luckily for those who want to see more Fortnite action after the FNCS Invitational, DreamHack will be hosting 2 solo Fortnite tournaments featuring $100,000 in prize money each. The first one is set for November 18.
