Fluxo’s WOOD7 on Fall Final: “We are prepared.”

There is a new contender in the top-tier CS:GO scene, who in less than three months managed to dominate the regional competition and now seems to be aiming higher. We’re talking about the Brazilian team Fluxo, one of the eight CS:GO squads that qualified for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2022.

Boasting a huge social media following in Brazil, Fluxo is known especially for its presence in competitive FreeFire. However, the organization has been recently also gaining traction in the CS:GO community, following the notable successes that its newly formed roster was able to achieve in quite a short time.

The rise of Fluxo

Fluxo entered CS:GO in August, making headlines by signing or buying out a handful of known players, former members of recognized orgs such as 00NATION, MIBR, GODSENT, and Sharks.

Led by Adriano “WOOD7” Cerato, the team immediately established their presence in the Brazilian CS:GO scene, winning their first tournament — the CCT South America — less than three weeks after the formation of the squad. A streak of regional victories followed, and the team soon found themselves competing on the global stage.

Fighting against the likes of ENCE and Outsiders at the ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022, this was the first time that the Brazillian squad showed the international CS:GO scene their determination. They didn’t make it to the playoffs following two losses against Outsiders, but they definitely didn’t make it easy for the Russians.

In the following BLAST Premier 2022 Fall American Showdown, Fluxo, at the surprise of many, beat MIBR in the Grand Final to claim their ticket to the upcoming Fall Finals, where they’ll compete against elite CS:GO squads such as FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, OG and Heroic. As far as rankings go, the team jumped from rank #120 to the current #29 in HLTV’s world CS:GO rankings.

“We are getting better and stronger with every tournament we play,” commented Fluxo’s IGL WOOD7 in an interview for Fragster. “We won a couple of tournaments back in Brazil and we also played very well in Rotterdam. I think we are prepared now.”

Getting stronger

According to the team’s captain, Fluxo is consistently improving to be able to prevail among the best. “First we had only one week of practice, but now we have three months,” said WOOD7. “Of course we are a better team now, more focused.”

When it comes to his approach toward leadership, WOOD7 revealed that he’s not always the one in the lead. “I think in our team, we have a lot of leaders,” he said. “Felps is also a leader. And all players have a big contribution in us getting better.”

“However, for me, all players need to be able to adapt and play their roles the best they can. Because of this, we are getting stronger with every event.”

The Brazillian roster consisting of João “felps” Vasconcellos, Vinicius “vsm” Moreira, Lucas “Lucaozy” Neves, Lucas “lux” Meneghini, and coach Willian “Xamp” Caldas will make their next appearance at the BLAST Premier Fall Final, which is scheduled to take place from November 23-27.
