FISSURE Responds to Accusations of Delayed Prize Money Payments

Tournament operator FISSURE has issued a public response following accusations that prize money payments from its 2025 events have been significantly delayed. The company insists that all financial obligations toward participating teams will be fulfilled, describing the situation as a temporary issue rather than a structural problem.

Claims raised by Complexity Gaming manager

The discussion gained traction after Complexity Gaming manager Graham Pitt, also known as “Messioso,” stated that several esports organizations are still waiting for prize money from FISSURE-run tournaments held last year.

According to Pitt, the issue goes beyond delayed transfers. He claimed that some teams have struggled to receive any response from the tournament organizer, despite payment deadlines having passed months ago.

He described the situation as increasingly difficult for teams affected by the delays, suggesting that communication has been just as much of a problem as the missing payments themselves.

FISSURE acknowledges issues, cites infrastructure problems

In response, FISSURE confirmed that payment delays have occurred but stressed that they are temporary. The operator stated that it has already contacted Pitt directly to clarify the situation and gather specific details.

According to FISSURE, the delays are linked to problems with payment infrastructure and banking procedures, which the company says are outside its direct control and are currently being addressed. The operator also noted that it cannot publicly comment on individual cases or specific payment amounts due to confidentiality agreements.

While acknowledging the impact on teams, FISSURE maintained that the situation does not reflect an inability to pay, but rather logistical complications affecting timing.

Ongoing scrutiny as new events approach

This is not the first time questions have been raised about FISSURE’s financial operations. Similar rumors circulated in the summer of 2025, though the company denied facing any broader financial difficulties at the time.

With another tournament from FISSURE expected to be announced soon, the coming months are likely to be closely watched. Whether the operator can resolve the outstanding payments and restore confidence among teams and partners may determine how much credibility it retains within the competitive esports ecosystem going forward.
