FIFA 23 joins forces with National Women’s Soccer League

FIFA 23 will introduce the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) this month. EA Sports have officially confirmed the news in a blog post.

With more teams and tournaments, women’s soccer has received significant attention in the most recent version. The response has been excellent, and EA Sports seems committed to introducing additional content.

The most recent adjustments appear to be in response to feedback from players that women’s soccer teams and competitions should be more varied. While FIFA 23 had an excellent variety, to begin with, the community was always looking for more options.

UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) and National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in FIFA 23

Soon, FIFA 23 players can choose between two alternative tournament types. On the one hand, we will have the UWCL, an elite women’s soccer competition in Europe, where the best clubs compete. In addition, we will have the NWSL, the premier women’s soccer league in the United States, with some incredible players.

On March 15, 2023, both tournaments will go live and be accessible on all platforms. However, players should prepare for a server outage, as a title update will precede them.

The UWCL will be playable in both Kick Off and Exhibition modes. Players can enjoy the atmosphere and lift the trophy during the semi-finals and finals in Kick Off. The quarter-finals will mark the start of Tournament mode.

FIFA 23 participants believe the UWCL will soon have an expanded mode, although these changes would enhance the everyday experience.

These four big clubs will be added to the list of available UWCL teams. Players will be able to choose one as they wish.

In addition, these teams will be included in the list of all current WSL and DIF teams, which can be played in Tournament mode.

NWSL Teams

The NWSL will be added to FIFA 23 as the third full-time women’s league. All 12 clubs will be represented in the top U.S. league with their official squads, uniforms, and other items.

These teams will be accessible in various game modes and online matches. For example, in Tournament mode, players can play all NWSL matches and lead their favorite team to the title.
